Strong teams develop via evolving and mixing youth with experience.
Staying together with a bunch of inexperienced kids will bring us nothing at this level.
I would suggest only 3 of todays team are PL standard. Berge, Brownhill and Amoudini.
Strength comes from recognising your weakness and replacing them.
We need a new defence completely, recycle a few of the promising youngsters and sign some solid experienced players.

Can anyone tell me why O’Shea is used as the platform for absolutely everything we do when his distribution is at best average and at worse absolutely useless?
Re: Clarets v Everton Match Thread
It was obvious before a ball was kicked that Everton would take every opportunity with set plays to get the ball in the box and that they did. I dreaded a corner being taken against us with their height and so it proved to be our downfall. Unfortunately we’re like a group of schoolboys playing against Men.

Interesting comparison for me tonight and during the game. Every time the SKY cameras panned onto our bench, Bellamy and the other coaches were totally locked into, and wrapped up in their laptops, at times calling VK over to show him something. When the cameras panned onto the Everton dug out Dyche was living and breathing every kick, offering guidance and offering bollockings and encoragement to his team. However when it panned to his two key coaches ie Woan & Stone, not a lap top to be seen. Its funny though who the team in control was, and which team had done their research on their opponents, and which team had a plan. To make it a bit easier we played Everton around 4 weeks ago, but seemed to have learned and implemented nothing from that 3-0 defeat

Still utterly bamboozled that he hasn’t played our best defenders of set pieces today and has the lads prepared to nullify their greatest threat.
I mean - we literally played them at Goodison in the cup and it was the same **** there?
So what gives?
