Looking rosy for us this Christmas - not.
Bottom of the league again after Sheffield's draw last night and now the BBC football page is reporting that Everton are looking at Brownhill. Cannot blame him if he goes, at least he will know a few already there.

I like Brownhill, but he’s going to be getting plenty of splinters in his arse if he goes to Everton.

Put in a few more performances like the one last weekend and he won’t be getting a move to Accy never mind Everton.

I guess if the rumours about Massengo starting today are true then it could mean he’s off in Jan.

It’s only looking rosy for anyone who at the start of the season had backed Burnley, at a widely available 11/1, to finish rock bottom of the PL.

After that performance against Everton I’d have been pleased if they’d have just taken him back on their coach there and then.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 9:04 amPut in a few more performances like the one last weekend and he won’t be getting a move to Accy never mind Everton.

What rumours are those? Not seen anything anywhere. Would certainly be an interesting change!Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 9:29 amI guess if the rumours about Massengo starting today are true then it could mean he’s off in Jan.

Not sure about that, we were all moaning about his tinkering earlier in the season. Think hes got to keep the 442 and see if we can get results with it now Fosters back. If not then id go 3 at the back.mybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 11:11 amI remain 100% behind Vinny, but my days does he need to do some tinkering!!
Dont think he should overreact to the Everton defeat, they are quite a unique side and the structure of the side was ok we just couldnt handle their power and organisation.
Id probably bring in Foster for Amdouni if hes fit, and bring in Ekdal for Vitinho with either Beyer or O'shea shifting kver to right back. Today is a huge game and we have to take something or its pretty much over unless we can get some freak results over the new year period.
Fulham had an intense quarter final in midweek which will have tired them emotionally more than anything, going through the pen shootout. So i dont think theyl be fully at it and its up to us to take advantage.

Not seen many suggest it but it would be interesting to see Jay partner Foster up top. I think what Jay offers is fairly limited but it would give us more threat in the box, more options to go long and more defensively at set pieces.Goliath wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 11:25 amNot sure about that, we were all moaning about his tinkering earlier in the season. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if Foster isn’t even in today’s squad.

Yep, i think most people forget the Jay isnt a number 9 and never has been. Hes at his best playing off a main striker, more from the left when he was younger but as a number 10 now. He can be a really clever player when hes on form and like you say his presence at set pieces alone could be a reason to select him over Amdouni.Rileybobs wrote: ↑Sat Dec 23, 2023 11:52 amNot seen many suggest it but it would be interesting to see Jay partner Foster up top. Id be surprised if Fosters anywhere near his best though unfortunately even if he does play but its probably worth the risk
