Half Time Entertainment
I know there’s more important issues but that half time entertainment was an embarrassment
Maybe they were trying to be ironic but that was more suited to a school fete

How did a girl from California manage to play the half time game?
Where they picked out of the crowd or did they have to apply?

Re: Half Time Entertainment
In California at an NFL game the prize would be to win a car.
In Burnley playing in the biggest league in the world one of the prizes was a key ring and a hot water bottle?
Oh dear

Why is the PA so loud? It's impossible to have a conversation with the person you are standing next to while somebody is trying to win a water bottle.

Prizes were absolutely laughable. Fluffy car dice, water bottle, key chain etc.

Sorry but that was shockingly embarrassing. If that’s all they can come up with I’d rather we had nothing.

Interviewer to punter no 1 " Are you excited ?" - punter no 1 "No" !
That was straight out of a Phoenix Nights script.
It was that bad it was funny, a reprise of Swankypants dog troupe level of entertainment.

Couldn't agree more - someone won a key fob I think and someone else a car dice. Very school fete and embarrassing.SalisburyClaret wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 10:18 pmI know there’s more important issues but that half time entertainment was an embarrassment

If the young girl hadn’t been given a nudge, she’d still be dropping it in on the left side and landing on number one now.

No idea how they expect the flags and banners to generate an atmosphere when Guns n Roses are absolutely blaring out until the last possible second before kickoff.getbennyon wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 10:30 pmWhy is the PA so loud? I guess it felt like there was a disconnect because the announcer (who has no rizz) didn't realise there were booby prizes but please try to have a sense of humour about it guys

Goal music was shocking and rightly potted. Drowning out the spontaneous roar of a crowd with music was mindboggling.

How were the half-time pies and refreshments.....any improvements?
Re: Half Time Entertainment
I was under the concourse but could still make out the PA. I turned to my mate at one point and said “whatever’s going on up there, they’re giving some decent prizes away, someone has just won a kitchen”burnleymik wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 10:30 pmPrizes were absolutely laughable. Re: Half Time Entertainment
Exactly. There were two very good prizes on offer (which nobody has mentioned conveniently) but the others were simply token gestures which I think the announcer tried to jovially dress up as big prizes but it didn’t work.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Tue Dec 26, 2023 11:30 pmI guess it felt like there was a disconnect because the announcer (who has no rizz) didn't realise there were booby prizes but please try to have a sense of humour about it guys
As for the PA, it seems as if they’ve tried to address suggestions that’s it’s not been audible and have cranked up the volume resulting in complaints that it’s too loud. Can’t win.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion on the standard of the new half-time game. I thought it was so poor it was very funny!! Lots of us laughing on our row…poor prizes, only one per slot, and a no prize slot
Sadly BFC are doing a lot poorly these days…….
Better off doing a food count

The daft prizes were daft for a reason
Some people just want to have a go at the club nowadays, the same people who always backed the club to the hilt, whatever happened.

Since when has HT 'entertainment' been worth watching? A penalty shoot-out for under 8s is as good as it gets. Mind you, there are plenty of Chico fans on here. You know who you are

Re: Half Time Entertainment
Surely the club can scrimp to multiples of these shitty prizes. Only one signed shirt for example? Why?
Re: Half Time Entertainment
Don’t think I’d turn my nose up at a £50 voucher or signed home shirt but each to their own.
This thread brings back to mind Ternent’s comment along the lines of ‘Give Burnley fans and fiver and they’d ask why it’s not a tenner!’

Okay, I'll bite. I would sort of see your point if it was just some randoms pulled from the crowd for a laugh, but it was to encourage people to download the app and was also a sponsored segment.

I thought it was great fun.
Hoping they build a “splat the rat” game out of a drainpipe to complement it.
We could even have a set of “village stocks” and have Owen coyle come back and invite people to throw wet sponges at him.
Great larks!
