Defence just will not stand up to the requirements of this league consistently. Huge shame.

CT 2 yds behind the rest of the defence playing them onside.

We don't half like to make life hard for ourselves and easy for the opposition.

Unfortunately Vitinho remains well out of his depth, done numerous times already and played Watkins onside just then (as did Taylor) which took both our centre backs out of the game. Need to strengthen there.

(I also doubt firm leadership at CB to call the offside trap btw)

Other than that we have done brilliantly against a really good team.

Looks a toe offside, bugger
That's why they brought in VAR. They identified a problem that goals were being given when the man was an inch offside, and realised that by introducing 2+ minute delays, by making it necessary to let play go on because the decisions are impossible to do on the field, and by making it impossible to celebrate a goal because there is no proper way to tell, they can solve the problem.

The question is, how much of a problem was it? Do they find that games at lower levels are spoiled because players who appear to be level, might have been an inch offside?

Delcorix looks like hes just woken up and found himself in the middle of a Premier league game.

Vitinho is equally bad. We may aswell just go for it in this game because theres no way of us getting a result sitting back with those 2 in the back 4

Delcroix and O’Shea at this level are a frightening partnership. That second goal was a complete calamity from Vitinho not pushing up, to O’Shea going to close down Watkins to delcroix being in no man’s land for the cross.

On a side note, how many goals do we concede from 40-45 mins?!

We have looked very good going forward but yet again it’s the basics letting us down.

I thought the same. Just as I was thinking, "if we can get to HT level!"

Then again, with the amount of VAR/IT time added on, along with our deternination to concede goals, it's actually quite likely we concede just before HT so frequently!

The linesman gave Foster offside. The other linesman didn't give Watkins offside. The original decisions rightly stood.

When you go away to Villa, what’s their biggest threat? Watkins running in behind.

What have we allowed to happen time and time again? Yes, you guessed it. Incredible.
