Re: Man Utd (a)
First 20-25 mins we weren’t at it at all, but for the second part of the half much better
Just, as ever, not being clinical and taking the chances we’ve created, may cost us

Odobert remains a liability, get him subbed before he gets red carded
Re: Man Utd (a)
I don’t know what some on here are watching, think we’ve been really good and should be winning.

Re: Man Utd (a)
Thankfully we have settled down abit and our two up top is starting to get chances/run them ragged.
I liked the initial tactical decision by VK, was just worried that we were losing midfield.

Consistency from the ref for once
Odobert booked for catching Rasmus then Antony booked for same challenge on Vitinho

Maguire must have forgot he's not captain any more with the amount of chatting he does with the ref.
Re: Man Utd (a)
United are gash. We really should be beating this lot.
Re: Man Utd (a)
Good first half - if only we had took our chances
Fofana done little apart from miss in first minutes
Brownhill on for him as they will come at us next half

This team playing like this all season doesn’t get relegated
Really good half done well

Re: Man Utd (a)
I think we are doing alright here, I just wish Foster would pass to Fofana when he’s in a better position to score.

Re: Man Utd (a)
Weathered the storm for first 20 minutes then took the game to them. Should be winning this. COYC.
Re: Man Utd (a)
5 live summary is Burnley created lots, looked good, players totally lacking in quality in terms of finishing.
Sums up our season really.

Re: Man Utd (a)
Strange 1st half. Dreadful fist 20 minutes. Overwhelmed in midfield and seemed a matter of time before Utd went ahead. Then we took over the game and should be ahead. Likely to be ruing those misses and that save come 5.00pm

Just logged on to say I think we are playing some absolutely terrific football today. They’ve hit the post and had a decent ten minute spell, but on another day we’re two or three ahead here. Scintillating at times.

Re: Man Utd (a)
Decent first half, looked very disjointed at the start but survived and settled well. Need to be a bit more clinical but I would have taken that half before kick off.
Come on lads, that half should give them the belief that they can win this!

The refs been good so far, or at least right up to when he should have booked Casemiro for a bodycheck on JBL right on HT

Re: Man Utd (a)
Berge and Cullen the pick of the first half, Odobert frustrating again, Muric solid.
Foster should have scored.

With better finishing we'd be comfortably in front.

It's taken a long while but this team finally looks Premier league. Maybe a little late, but this was day 1 of the season we'd quite easily stay up

Re: Man Utd (a)
Dominated last 20 mins. Now we need to survive first 20 of second half then come on strong when United tire ( third game in 6 days ) Luton losing. So far so good

Re: Man Utd (a)
Utd looked a tad leggy at the end of that half and I expect them to freshen things up either at half time or early 2nd half. We had to take one of those chances because they will come at us again.
Re: Man Utd (a)
Agree, I came on this thread and thought I was watching a different game, nothing but moaning and slagging off VK.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 3:51 pmJust logged on to say I think we are playing some absolutely terrific football today. Re: Man Utd (a)
We are playing slightly further apart and it looks much better. 20yd passes with pace on them keeping Utd chasing. Early season it was 10yd passes at snail pace that opposition were all over.
After Fofanas attempt in 20secs I thought we were ok early on. They took over for 20mins but the last 20mins were ours.

Re: Man Utd (a)
Fantastic by Burnley after a tough 15 minutes. The best four chances of the game, one to Fofana and three to Foster. Two great saves by Onana, one fantastic one when he was going the other way.
You can’t have chances like that here though and not score, not looking good on that basis. I’d take the results now as they stand. Sadly though, it doesn’t work like that.

On the plus side, looking like the dream scenario for Blackburn is possible. By “for Blackburn”, I mean for us

Re: Man Utd (a)
Oh I agree about them being given. It’s one of my biggest peeves
But that’s kinda my point in that they are generally given but obviously not this time
Re: Man Utd (a)
Shame foster didn't finish first time , perfect ball ,hope we get another opportunity second half can beat this lot just need to believe in themselves.
Re: Man Utd (a)
Really good last 20 mins should definitely be in front
Maguire shut the fcuk up whinging at every opportunity
Berge is a rolls Royce, Really hope we can keep him especially if we do go down, he's absolute class and will destroy the championship
Cmon u Clarets we can do this

Terrific pass from Berge to put Foster in.
