Muric 9 - slightly chaotic distribution but it was amidst a maelstrom so forgiveable
Assignon 8 - burst into some very dangerous positions and given our problem is scoring goals that is important
O'Shea 9 - leadership, pace, aerial ability and (gradually) improving nous
Esteve 7 - a little raw for a game of this nature but did ok
Vitinho 7 - did well but a little chaotically in that position
Berge 8 - error down to mental tiredness at a tough ground under pressure, but for 89 mins was super
Cullen 7 - ticked it over very nicely but they did run past him quite often
Bruun Larsen 6 - fairly quiet
Odobert 7 - quiet but with a few breakout moments that almost turned the tide, amazing a 19yo plays 90 mins every game
Foster 6 - poor finishing after getting in good positions
Fofana 6 - wasteful and can get dominated by two old heads back there

Amdouni 7 - very good penalty and did ok generally
Gudmundsson 7 - also very tidy after coming on

A terrific performance with some chaotic defending but we deserved probably 2 points, more than 1 but less than 3. We had the better chances, our finishing is not normally the issue, creation is, but we created some good chances today.

It is frustrating, but the clues were there in August that we look a mid table team for large parts of games but get let down by lack of experience at the back, errors, creativity and finishing. We were never far away and results are starting to show that. Even in our bad runs we ‘nearly’ beat Forest, ‘nearly’ beat Luton, ‘nearly’ beat Villa etc.

So we have a chance, Luton and Forest will feel our breath on their necks, they won’t find it easy to get the wins they need. That is why this point is so vital.

O'Shea - 9 This lad is my sort of player, we've a gem here.

Cullen - 5 That last 15 minutes was criminal.

Muric 9 made a difference
Assignon 7 part of the winning mentality
O'Shea 9 a beast
Esteve 8 a rolls royce
Vitinho 7 dependable
Berge 7 -1 obvs. Such a good player
Cullen 6 struggled towards the end
Bruun Larsen 7 solid
Odobert 6 quiet today
Foster 4 not as crap as Datro
Fofana 3 awful. Decisions are appalling

Amdouni 7 good pen
Gudmundsson 6 quiet

Overall. A decent striker and we win this comfortably

Not rating as my stream was dodgy, but I thought O’Shea was outstanding today.

Muric 7- Clean and safe hands , bit wobbly distribution late on
Assignon 6 - mixes raw skill with bovine like decision making
O'Shea 7- some good work and has a bit of fight .
Esteve 7- at times very good but positionally a bit sloppy
Vitinho 6 - a generous 6 as he did little but no howlers , remarkable he starts at LB above Taylor
Foster 5- out of position on RW , should have scored
Berge 7 awful mistake , thrives in space which they allowed the whole team
Cullen 7 mom - did his thing quietly but effectively but tired badly late on, why wasn’t he hooked ?
Bruun Larsen 6 steady enough , bit loose but always there
Odobert 6 - gifted but poor decisions , frustrating
Fofana 6 - inconsistent show pony

Subs:
Amdouni 6 sweet peno
JBG 6 still got fight in him

A v good point against a UTD packed with elite talent but floundering like turtle in a fishing net. We were very fast and loose and mistake ridden and chaotic but pulled it off .

I thought the lads effort today was immense. They had a proper go, played some good bits in patches were hapless in others, but they gave everything and were dead on their feet at the end. That’s all I ask for.

Fofana - 3 - there are times when he looks like he’s never kicked a ball in his life. Rightly hooked
Foster - 6 - some big misses but at least he’s getting in those positions

Muric 9 - great saves and his quicker distribution gets us on the front foot time after time

Assignon 8 - good both ways, could potentially have delivered some better balls but generally had Dalot on toast

Esteve 8 - strong, quick, read the game well, largely untroubled. Going to be a decent player this lad

O'Shea 8 - one of my favourite quotes "you're Vidic, not Ferdinand" finally seems to have hit home. Solid defending, and kept it simple when in possession

Vitinho 7 - Generally solid and offered support going forwards. Card in first half stifled his usual pressing

Odobert 8- I think its his best game in a Burnley shirt. The gaps Man Utd left allowed him to pick up and drive at the defence, and showed strength and pace to cover when Garnacho was through on goal

Berge 8 - literally one misplaced pass all game. Dominated established centre mids for 90 mins so would be harsh to hammer him for the one error

Cullen 8 - always available, kept play ticking over whilst also making progress with more forward passes than usual

Bruun Larsen - 7 very dangerous first half, had Wan Bissaka on the back foot for most of it. Faded slightly before he was subbed

Fofana 6 - still don't know what to make of him, appears to have everything but not coming together all at once. Potentially a very dangerous player in there but needs to click soon

Foster 7 - driving runs from deep had them back tracking. Lack of composure in the area or picking final ball kills us

JBG 7 - came on and was positive, linked well with Assignon

Amdouni 7 - wish he'd invest in some longer studs as once again he loses it in dangerous positions trying to twist and turn and losing his footing. Great composure for the pen

Muric 7 - Very good, but a lot of stray passes that second half.
Assignon 8 - His forward work is very god and his desire to make things happen has helped to drive us forward. Made Garnacho work his socks off going up and down the pitch.
O'Shea 8 - Excellent game today, read the game very well.
Esteve 7 - Very solid display again.
Vitinho 6 - Just couldn;t impact the game, although did one excellent piece of cover work to thwart a fast counter attack.
Berge 7 - Makes it look easy and rarely loses the ball, but again today he was in position to let one go a few times, but absolutely never takes it. Silly mistake on the goal.
Cullen 7 - Usual industrial self, broke up loads and always there showing for his team mates when they are in trouble.
Bruun Larsen 6 Did okay, especially with the ball over the top, but didn't really impose himself and gave the ball away a lot trying silly tricks that were not coming off.
Odobert 8 - was everywhere today and did a lot of defensive work. Put in a real shift and was creative driving forwards too. A really good game IMO.
Foster 5 - Just couldn't get it going. Twice he ran at them, opened up space and then for some reason tried tyo play it through rather than having a go. Needs to be greedier as a striker.
Fofana 6 - Just bounces off him too often. Should have scored in the first minute, but struggled to impact really.

Amdouni 7 - looked better today, another who did more defensive work, which was good to see. Cool penalty.
Gudmundsson 6 Nothing brilliant, but nothing bad, just solid and dependable.

Strange that people mark down Foster for 2 misses, when infact they were 2 good save, one brilliant.
If Onana had an off day Foster would have played exactly the same, and be a hero.

Just an observation.

There's something wrong with the site today, and I think it's affecting more than me. Trying to post is a pita. It freezes so you try, and try again. Then 5 mins later it posts all of them.....

Can look at this game both ways. Great to grab a point at the end but tinged with disappointment because we were the better side and should have taken all 3. If we were clinical up top we’d be easily mid table which is the frustration. Also we throw a big game changing mistake in every match. This is Burnley though and that’s how we roll. We are still in it though and that is down to the fight of the players and the management. If we pull this off it will probably be one of the greatest escapes in Premier League football. Fingers crossed we can blaze that trail.

I think that could be the best performance of the season. If we had an in-form striker on the pitch and with a bit of composure we could've won that.

Muric 9 - He's changed the season for us.

Muric 8 fantastic but sloppy distribution in second half
Assignon 7
O'Shea 9 mom one of the first names on the team sheet
Esteve 8
Vitinho 8 I slagged off the decision to play him at left back, shows what I know.
Berge 8 amazing again but terrible pass
Cullen 7
Bruun Larsen 7
Odobert 7
Foster 7 got into great positions denied by brilliant goal keeping
Fofana 4 ff()ck off

Muric 9 some massive saves, had a mad 10 mins 70-80 minutes with stray passes out of play but generally excellent.
Assignon 7
Vitinho 7
Esteve 8 gets better every week
O'Shea 9 won every header, fantastic today
Cullen 8 so glad he's back
Berge 7 would have been 9 but for the silly mistake
Odobert 6 some good glimpses but really drifts, better out wide for me
JBL 7 really hope he stays
Foster 7 good first half should have been subbed though he was done again
Fofana 4 a £40 million Johnny Francis

Muric - 8 Very good, but a lot of stray passes late on in that second half, which put us and particularly Cullen under pressure

Assignon 8 - Going forward looked great, defensively also good, went up and down that wing with Garnacho all day, tough day but kept going

O'Shea 8 - Excellent game today, read the game very well.

Esteve 7 - Very solid display again, gets an extra point for snapping Anthony.

Vitinho 7 On the end of a couple of nasty challenges today, but battled away all day, couple of important last ditch tackles.

Berge 7 - strong in the middle of the park, very good performance but gifted the goal.

Cullen 7 - Usual industrial self, broke up loads and always there showing for his team mates when they are in trouble, but absolutely gassed at the end and his his passing in the last ten was all over the place.

Bruun Larsen 6 Always cutting inside, never tried to go outside Wan Bissaka, steady

Odobert 8 - great performance, all over the pitch, his best game yet.

Foster 6 Couple of chances but worked space and got positions just the final touch or chance that didn’t quite work.

Fofana 6 - Fantastic chance in the first minute, generally struggled, ball does not stick to him and he gives it away too easily.

Amdouni 7 - Excellent penalty under that pressure.
Gudmundsson 6 Steadyaway JBG

A thoroughly enjoyable game end to end, could have been 6-5 we deserved that point and perhaps two more. Super effort and keeps is in with a chance. Fans were fantastic today as well. Apart from all the tourists in the Burnley end.

Muric 8
Assignon 7
O’Shea 9 *** Excellent game.
Estève 7
Vitinho 7

Bruun Larsen 7
Berge 8
Cullen 8
Odobert 7
Foster 5
Fofana 6

Amdouni 7
Buddy 7

We deserved that point.
Bit more composure & belief near their goal, we could have had 3pts.

Muric 8** It's his presence, at times he looks like an immovable giant
Assignon 7 - Did well up against one of the best left sided players in the PL
O’Shea 8 - Another good showing from the best defender on the pitch today
Estève 7 - He is a steady player
Vitinho 7 - Had a decent showing today, his energy is unbelievable!

Bruun Larsen 7 - A bit more composure would see him score but he is an asset
Berge 8 - Silly pass across the field spoiled another good performance
Cullen 8 - Grew into the game and does not look out of place
Odobert 7 - Played well and has a good future
Foster 5 - Not at the races today
Fofana 5 - Same as Foster

Amdouni 7 - A proper penalty taker, no fuss, no bother
JBG 7 - A couple of decent balls and tracked back well

Our composure in and around the box is poor and we are guilty of overplaying the ball. I'm certain VK expected goals from across the side like last season but it hasn't happened and sadly the 2 main strikers are not good enough.

Obviously we needed 3 points but have done well again and created enough chances to win the game.

Another good performance in a Season of what might have been...

There's something wrong with the site today, and I think it's affecting more than me. Trying to post is a pita. It freezes so you try, and try again. Then 5 mins later it posts all of them.....
It keeps logging me out too.

From tv
I think this was possibly our best performance of the season
Muric 8 If only.......
Assignon 7 great going forward, would like to keep him for next season if we go down
O’Shea 8 his best game by far for Burnley
Esteve 8 he could be a giant next season
Vitinho 7 not his position but did well going forward
Larsen 7 worked hard for the team
Cullen 8 another calm and collected performance
Berge 7 one off for mistake, otherwise a very good game
Odobert 7 combined skill with work rate
Foster 7 unlucky not score, ran his socks off
Fofana 6 didn’t come off for him today, he’s a bit of an enigma
JBG 7 he is still a talented player and we should think about keeping him if we go down

We looked like an organised, very competent outfit yesterday. They all gave everything to the cause, which is what, I’m sure, we all want to see. Keep it up now til the last second of the last match of the season.
