There were 50 thousand spotted last week at Old Trafford. OK half and half scarves, but most were showing the Burnley half.

About ten years ago, I was in a chippy in Aylesbury and infront of me in the queue was a man wearing a Burnley hat.
I said, "I'm a Burnley fan too."
He looked at me blankly. I pointed at his hat.
"I'm a Burnley fan too," I said again.
"Oh," he said. "I don't know what you mean. I just like the hat."
Now I think about it, it could've been Amersham.

I once referred to a guy as a 'cockney'.

He said 'I'm not a cockney, I'm from Aylesbury'.

I said 'Yeah, a cockney'.

I was once working in Reading and went for some lunch at Morrisons as I was queuing up to pay a guy with a Burley jacket stood behind me in the queue, we got talking and he had moved down 40 years ago with work as a young man and never moved back up north, but still followed and supported Burnley. In the early nineties I was walking from Cambrilles (so) to Salou when a passed a hotel whose balcony among many others had a St. George’s flag with the Burnley legend in the centre. I was pointing it out to my family when someone on the other side of the road shouted “Up the Clarets!”. I obviously looked as I saw someone dashing across the road to me, thinking it to be the banners owner; only to recognise it to be Chris Pearce who also happened to walking along the same street with his family.

Saw a guy surfing on Fistral beach with a Burnley shirt over his wet suit a few years ago. I thought to myself he didn't learn that on the Leeds and Liverpool canal .

Guy at our golf club near Ware - yes I know! - (Hertfordshire) retired pilot. From Nelson lifelong Burnley fan. Ball markers and pitch mark repairers BFC.

Not shirts I'll grant you but still good to see.

Then last year in a match with a cub from Harpenden I played in a group with their Captain - Burnley fan. First game at Watford sat 2 seats along from him.

Last December at Kuala Lumpur airport, I saw a guy wearing the 94/95 home kit. Then a few hours later at Singapore Airport, I saw someone wearing this season's horrible yellow away kit! Seemed strange seeing the first one, but seeing the 2nd in Singapore gave me a smile. We get everywhere! :D

I'm in Tokyo next week so I'll be keeping a close eye for any clarets!

I was driving back to Burnley to visit family last Sunday morning and I saw someone wearing a Burnley top near the White Bear (around 11am) in Barrowford. I beeped my horn and gave him the thumbs up but just got a blank stare.

Not sure if anyone on here knows who the Burnley fan in Barrowford might be (or was it you) but if you do tell him the bloke who beeped him was a Burnley fan too.
