What happened in the CFS?
The speed that emptied, was someone giving away free bags on the concourse?

Re: What happened in the CFS?
I’m sure it probably emptied elsewhere (couldn’t really tell from JMU but the Longside didn’t look so bad) but it was shocking how quickly they left. It looked 50/60% empty at 0-3 and 80% in the second half.

So many left really early today that it made our journey home so much quicker.

Most left on 40 minutes, their choice but not what would be called diehard support.

Re: What happened in the CFS?
I got off after the 4th goal rolled in. The players clearly couldn't be bothered, so I couldn't be bothered staying and I feel better for getting home early.

Re: What happened in the CFS?
The bar and concourse was heaving, fed up of seeing this team capitulate I suppose.
Re: What happened in the CFS?
After about 70 minutes, when the Newcastle fans were singing "Europe again" etc, me and my lad started singing "Championship again" mainly to keep us occupied. Some coked up kn*bend took exception to this and attacked my son and daughter at the end of the game and then decided to have a go at me on the concourse. Our crime? Singing and clapping so he accused us of being Newcastle fans. I've watched Burnley for 45 years, my son had a Burnley tracksuit on and we're obviously season ticket holders for several seasons to even be in the stand. I despair with some of the fans I share the club with

If you want to leave early, make sure you run it past superfans like Leisure and NewClaret first.

Re: What happened in the CFS?
I said to my lad …. Aren’t they supposed to be the ‘Die Hards’ ?
I’m of the belief that fans can leave when they please but I get the impression that the CFS are a different breed …
Doesn’t seem to be the case

Safe standing looked to be about 20% full from 40mins onwards

Anyone can leave when they want. I have no problem with that. But there is no need for announcements. I could see that people were leaving.

Re: What happened in the CFS?
I think the season we opened the CFS to home fans was the season our atmosphere went down hill …
When you put all the ‘singers’ in one place … it’s stops the spread

Think MACCA should be sacked as leader of the CFS after allowing that.

Re: What happened in the CFS?
Happy clappers having a go at people in the only stand that creates an atmosphere. The amount left at the end still generates more noise than the rest of the ground who are absolutely shambolic in supporting the team.

Re: What happened in the CFS?
I’d say people still turning up after the shower that’s been served up at home this season, have every right to up sticks early if they feel like it.

Correct if you can emotionally detach yourself you are effectively paying for an entertainment service of some description. if you was watching a netflix film & you wasn't enjoying it you wouldn't continue watching it because you subscribed. The same applies here.Burnley Ace wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 7:45 pmNothing, but stop pretending you’re supporters because you aren’t, you’re just customers.

Re: What happened in the CFS?
I share your pain. I did something similar at Everton only to get involved in a confrontation with some dickheads who thought they would be funny abusing me with their mates. Seems humour is lost on a lot, and a lot of our fans are utterly stupidac99 wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 6:08 pmAfter about 70 minutes, when the Newcastle fans were singing "Europe again" etc, me and my lad started singing "Championship again" mainly to keep us occupied.
