There’s a lot of backslapping when it comes to the atmosphere generated by the CFS. Maybe the acoustics of the ground mean the noise doesn’t carry very well to the JHU, but I rarely clock much in the way of a racket in there.

After about 70 minutes, when the Newcastle fans were singing "Europe again" etc, me and my lad started singing "Championship again" mainly to keep us occupied. Some coked up kn*bend took exception to this and attacked my son and daughter at the end of the game and then decided to have a go at me on the concourse. Our crime? Singing and clapping so he accused us of being Newcastle fans. I've watched Burnley for 45 years, my son had a Burnley tracksuit on and we're obviously season ticket holders for several seasons to even be in the stand. I despair with some of the fans I share the club with

To be fair … CFS mainly start the noise … but it’s only loud when the other stands join in

I’d prefer it if it took longer to get home! :?
me too - if there is an emptying of the ground around 10 mins from the end then it makes getting home much slower, but when they leave as early a they did today then it's so much quicker.

They won't stop doing that because it means they can avoid the real issues and remain positive meaning they can label themselves the best fans at the club!

Fair few left their seats in the JMU after the 3rd when in just before half time.
Thought it may have been them coming for early ht but when I went down at half time, it was pretty quiet on the concourse and was served straight away (still out of potato pies though)

Did leave around the 80min mark - not that I need to explain myself, but dad is struggling walking in a crowd of people at the moment and my mum is currently in RBH after a fall and had to get back to go and visit

Yes. My son who's 23 was attacked. His wife stepped in and he pushed her away. He then followed them down to the concourse where I was waiting for them and he started pushing me and there were a minute or so of us pushing and shouting at one another. Me and my daughter in law are fine. My son was a bit more shook up. I think he's contacted the club about it

No Burnley fan needs to justify leaving early to anybody else , it makes you neither more or less of a supporter
Idiots , singers , none singers , pi$$ heads , drug takers and people that are none of those are sat/stood in all 4 ends of the ground , it's ridiculous that people suggest any end pf the ground contains better fans than another.
If I believe what I read , the CF is full of druggies , Longside 70s hooligans , JM low income folk and BL full of Bay City Rollers fans 🙄

Yesterday was the closest I've ever been to smacking a fellow Claret, me and my son decided wrongly or rightly (our choice) to leave the ground after the 3rd goal, I'd had enough of this season I'd had enough of this game we'd conceded 3 identical goals we learn nothing from our repeated mistakes.

On leaving the CFS there was a dickhead and his 4 or 5 mates slagging off people leaving the ground, telling them don't renew your season ticket and go and **** off and support Blackburn only my son stopped me dropping the prick, he was saying all this whilst being against the back wall next to the turnstiles where he was stood drinking and not in a seat watching the game or even in view of a TV monitor, so all he was doing was paying 4 quid a pint more than what I was going to do in spoons in ten minutes.

Amazingly just after the 4th goal's goes in this mouthy prick and his mates walk into spoons with a good half an hr of the game left I walked up to him and said did the game end early or did you walk off like me funnily enough he had nothing to say.

So back to the football, Kompany all season has tried to play the ball only the ground never mixing it up yet yesterday he chose to use a high ball tactic into the box Muric even was in on the act blasting the ball high up field against one of the tallest teams in the Prem and against probably the tallest defender in the Prem also.

Actually find it quite amusing how upset people get when seeing other people leave early.

CFS is an easy target. Any atmosphere that we do have crumbles when the CFS go home. Dare I say if the other three sides of the ground made a fraction of the effort the CFS does to get an atmosphere going maybe then maybe the CFS wouldn't be missed so much when they do go home early.

Not that I make it any of my business why people choose to leave early, but from where I was sat there were plenty of people that left from all four sides of the ground.

Glad someone else saw that group of idiots! I saw them slagging people off at half time for leaving and then lo and behold, who did I see walking out at the same point as me (after the 4th went in). Hypocritical d********

The CFS only has 1 exit meaning it takes much longer to leave than any other stand.Usually this means the rest of the stadium is empty while fans are still queuing to go maybe taking 5 minutes or longer. This is the reason sales are limited in the stand nowadays not hooliganism or drugs.(Incredibly to some the fans in there are no different to any other stand).Because of these limited sales maybe one third of seats are empty(only a guess) which in turn means as soon as people begin to leave the CFS appears very sparse very quickly. Perhaps people do leave early to beat these longer queues also more so than anywhere else.I shouldn't really be explaining this to anyone because it is of course up to each supporter what they do but every time this subject crops up the ignorance of some is astounding.
It does make me wonder how many would have stayed until the end if it wasn't raining though...

My row ans exit was free at the end. I walked down to the bottom of the steps, for the last 30 seconds and straight out at whistle. Shame. First time I haven't clapped.

Easy walk up the exit passage. That was just as well, owing to a large police wagon halfway up. Have the police no brain included? Dangerous place to park, when crowd solid.

Went to the game with a few mates yesterday expecting there to be a fantastic atmosphere (similar to that last game of the season against Newcastle two years ago).

But the whole game just felt very strange. Fans and players just never seemed up to it and as a result the atmosphere was really poor.

I didn’t see out the game think I left around 60 odd mins to try make my way back up to Newcastle earlier.

I know it’s a hated sentence but I honestly don’t think I have ever felt this disengaged with the club. I struggled to even care that we were effectively relegated yesterday.

Crazy to think how different I felt after the Newcastle game two years ago and now.

It did not cost me quite £25, but I once walked out of the cinema before the film had even started. It was the Titanic. I overheard a loudmouthed pillock sitting on the row behind me mentioning the ending.
