How do you feel?
How do you feel?
No quibbling about tactics, manager, selections transfers etc.
I just feel flat, almost like i really just don't care not just about the relegation but BFC which in 50 plus years of going on the Turf I have never ever felt. Sums up the experiment .

Couldn't you, just for once, lay off whichever chairman we have and stick to the topic.

Disappointed by the season overall. Encouraged by recent performances, including today. Excited by the prospect of Championship football next season.

Think we’ve improved but costly errors at big times. Think we are still a couple short but I’m excited for next season.

I’m gutted but it’s not going to keep me awake.
Looking forward to being a force next season, hope we can keep the majority who will be brilliant.
End of the day, I’m a Burnley fan win/lose/draw or North west counties

Re: How do you feel?
Gutted. Always care about us being relegated, even though it has felt inevitable for a while. At least we saved face towards the end of the season and put in some better performances.
If we can keep hold of a core of our team we should be in good shape. It really does depend on who goes and stays. Big Summer upcoming and this time not for who we buy, but for if we can hold onto our best talent.

I knew we were down in November. Recent run has been an improvement but as we all know the recruitment and team selection killed us.

Ultimate feeling is relief now. Get the last game out the way and have a break from Burnley for a month until all the rumours start
Re: How do you feel?
Roll on next season ... will have to find some new lucky undercrackers & socks though ... these have failed us miserably this season

Re: How do you feel?
Absolutely fine, it's the up and downs of football. This one seems self inflicted to some extent and we haven't enjoyed the rub of green at times.
AP needs to tell Vinny to get a good break away from football and come back energised for a championship season that's going to be a little more pressured than the title winning season..

Re: How do you feel?
Yeah not bothered as it’s been obvious for months, but to finish below Luton is a disgrace
Re: How do you feel?
Blasé regarding the relegation, we’ve reaped what we sowed. Looking forward to next season, but there’s more than a hint of trepidation about what may follow, if we don’t deliver quickly, at Championship level.
‘The project’ looks much less thought out than it did this time last year and that’s more than it simply being two very contrasting seasons.

Re: How do you feel?
Always sad when we get relegated but it has been coming. Supporting Burnley is never an easy ride but that’s what makes it so interesting. Won’t miss var, incessant cheating or the bias towards the big clubs - Burnley is my club, my life, my passion and this year has been tough but we go again like we always do !

A bit let down, I'd hoped we'd show more fight. But the result was expected in the end.

We will walk the championship based on the current standard of that league and our available squad

Two clean sheets in 37games even SD got 10in our relegation season of 14-15 and we are managed by VK who was a top top defender

Re: How do you feel?
Feel less upset than at many times this season. Disappointed, but like losing a job when the writing has been on the wall for some time; glad we can now move on rather than hoping we pull through against all the odds.
Re: How do you feel?
I said a few months ago that all we could hope for was an improvement in form, take it to the last few games and not embarrass ourselves. We did that so now I'm looking forward to a bit of a reset and a rethink from our manager and board.
I think we are in a better position to last time we went down, but a big summer ahead.
I'm feeling a mixture of relief and optimisim

The least painless relegation in my history
Never thought any different from week 1, we really do deserve it this time.
But leaves the same question as always, will we ever get back ?

Re: How do you feel?
Uneasy if I'm being honest, there's too much smoke and mirrors going on the us fans aren't privy to for my liking unfortunately and it does feel as if the club is becoming more detached from the town for me

Feeling down, despite the relgation being hardly a surprise.

Re: How do you feel?
Honestly GUTTED !
But, the key now is keeping Berge and building a team around him.
If we do, we will storm that crap league next season and the, now normal, stuffing of Rovers will be oh so sweet.
The gaffer will learn from this and be better for it ! He’s a winner and a fighter.

Re: How do you feel?
Sad but this new experiment called "Burnley FC" has only just got going. Last year was an aberration that wasn't in the plan. No use getting attached to any individual player as they are just commodities to be bought and sold. Quite a few of this group need moving on anyway IMHO.

A little sad but also a little excited. Really looking forward to next season where I hope and expect us to be 1 of the better teams
Re: How do you feel?
I think Trafford is more likely. Possible he's gonna go to Euros with no Sam Johnstone. Someone will take him.Carlos the Great wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2024 5:26 pmWe are likely going to have to sell players balance the books plus quite a few might get snapped up ,, Berge springs to mind and possibly Muric
Berge I'm unsure of, he showed some loyalty at Sheffield however. A season wouldn't hurt.
Re: How do you feel?
Not too distraught, fully expected relegation since November. The brief resurgence made the back end interesting
Re: How do you feel?
We've been relegated 12 months after the most incredible high, so I'm miserable. But tempered by it being inevitable for months. It's not as bad as 2 years ago. But also irked that we managed to somehow come to close to staying in contention until the final game, we really could have saved ourselves in the past few games so that's what's irritating me most right now.
Miffed that despite underwhelming signings we really ought to have stayed up but for stupid mistakes and VK refusing to drop Trafford sooner.
Apprehensive about next season and who we'll have. I don't think we'll walk the league by any stretch.
Ambivalent about the manager. If someone took him off our hands I'd be fine with that. I still don't think he's up to the job.

Re: How do you feel?
I’m glad it’s all over.
Re: How do you feel?
I felt shocked when we went down 2 years ago. Genuinely believed we would win against Newcastle that day.
Now I don't feel anything at all. Probably because we have known our destiny for a long time.

Re: How do you feel?
A bit flat but looking forward to next season’s derbies including the two games in Sheffield. No VAR is close to getting me excited.
A bit frustrated because I felt this team could kick on in the Premier League after a bit of recycling of the player’s who haven’t quite made the cut.
