Up until Spurs scored the winner was still hoping
for a miracle and we get one but as soon as that goal came up
knew it was all over.

Hugely disappointing season overall tempered by a bit of a revival
the last 6 or so games.

But inevitable really and sad that in many games we gave it away.

Probably a bit relieved in a way because it’s the hope that made it more stressful. Just hope VK gets this summer right again like he did for his 1st season in the Championship.

Not a patch on the last relegation. Far easier to accept when you can see it coming months beforehand.

I got angry during the Newcastle game when there was some realistic hope but as soon as that game finished I went back to acceptance.

A lot seem to be like me, not bothered, knew it was coming but it's the disconnection between me and the club I'm feeling most.

How do I feel - Not that bothered tbh.
It was a poor show from us all season. Results wise It can only be better for us in the championship. More derbies, regular games at 3pm on a Saturday and Tuesday nights.
It'll be interesting to see how many and which players-of the squad want to leave and trigger contract clauses.
Several 1st team players and staff will leave to save money.
Big clear out coming.

The way the season has panned out then not actually too bad.

If we had started well and petered out there'd be a sense of dread going into next season but the way we have finished has given me optimism that with a lower class of opposition we'll be just fine.

Probably a question to ask again at the start of next season to see if opinions have changed.

Nowhere near as bad as last time. I think we were one of the better teams to go down in recent.years last time, this time it's fully deserved and our points total is pretty pathetic.

Honestly, not to bothered, sick of VAR, the top 6 bias, play acting and the lack of a good hard tackle, look forward to next year some decent games to look forward to, P.N.E., Bolton (hopefully) both Sheffield sides, Leeds (hopefully) Sunderland, Derby and that lot 10 mile down road

I have to say it's the least bothered I have ever felt having been relegated. Perhaps, knowing we were down in December has "helped" but we have so deserved to go down it would have almost felt an injustice if we had stayed up. It will be an interesting summer (not sure if good or bad?!) but we go again. Unlike other plastic supporters we will back our team again. We have the derbies to look forward to (yes, we really are much better than the Bastards and the Knobbers) so that could be fun. Hey, we are the Clarets and we crack on and look forward again. UTC!

Frustrated as the summer transfer dealings in hindsight have cost us. Realistically we’ve been down since January and have only kept in it due to others deductions. Big summer ahead.

We were realistically down last week, and we deserve to be down, so there isn't really any great feeling. At least we gave it a bit of a go the last couple of months.

No injustice - unlike the premature elimination of Denmark, and to a lesser extent Poland and Australia in the midweek eurovision playoffs. How the f did Ireland get through?

Anyway, the Scousers didn't win the league.
So

I've seen quite a few relegations over the years, and this one is probably one of the least painful.
It's easy to forget that when VK took over, it wasn't supposed to be instant promotion and when it happened so quickly and convincingly, he said we were ahead of schedule.
Mistakes have been made all round, but as long as we keep Vincent and a few of the players, we'll 'go again' and it'll be a good season. If we to up again, we'll be far better prepared for what will happen. Up the Clarets.

Pleasantly happy about it. I’m fed up of the apparent corruption and BS of VAR, big club bias and visiting stadia where it’s more like Disneyland than a football ground (I wonder how Spurs will replace the thousands of South Korean tourists when Son leaves).

Looking forward to a Friday opening night fixture in the Championship away at Portsmouth already.

Disappointed that VK gave Trafford so much game time when he obviously wasn't the answer.
Sad that we didn't see much of Anas and Benson but after that I couldn't really care which league we play in

Two clean sheets in 37games even SD got 10in our relegation season of 14-15 and we are managed by VK who was a top top defender
12 matches against the top 6 and lost them all. The bulk of those games coming in the first 28 fixtures only the games against teams placed in 5th and 6th in the recent run.
Dyche always managed to take at least some points off the top 6 which you need to survive in the PL.

To be honest I'm really looking forward to seeing a much more exciting unbiased football again, I hated almost everything about being in this league...........biggest downside is what all the drama queens will post from here until we crack on again 🫣.

If you take Everton’s points deduction away the bottom 6 clubs are all clubs with 3 or less consecutive seasons in the prem the gap between the established and the newly promoted sides or second season sides is getting bigger and bigger

The feeling at the moment is flat and slightly angry when knowing we were promoted as one of the best ever championship sides only next season be relegated as one of the worst ever premier league sides. How many of the present squad will be Burnley players next? We will walk the championship next season according to Natalie Bromley ( NNN podcast) but if we persist with loan players and young inexperienced players we are likely to struggle again Lightening doesn’t strike twice

No different really to when I realised that summer transfers were done as a profit making exercise rather than seeing a few experienced prem players brought in to complement the young lads that got us up and consolodating in the prem seeing as AB, JC, JRod et al were either leaving or not really going to be up to the prem, not giving last years players a chance to prove themselves but yet giving a bunch of unknown foreigners who had never played in England never mind the prem seemed foolhardy and counter productive, for me the writing was on the wall so have to say I don`t feel anything because I didn`t expect anything. Renewed my ST but don`t have the faith in this squad to bounce back and that for me is more of a worry.

Losing so many times this season from winning positions (ie having scored first) was a big factor in our demise. Failing many times to score a second goal was the reason we lost perhaps so many of these games. Still its all water under the bridge now.
Roll on the Championship, I am looking forward to it now.

Like most, gutted but not surprised.

Biggest mistake? Not giving the Championship side a chance to prove themselves at a higher level. That must have destroyed a lot of trust from those players who were instantly sidelined, or sent out on loan. Trust takes a long time to get back.

Won't miss VAR though, or the obvious favouritism towards the top clubs. And hey ho, we get more games. Always a positive to find even at the worst of times.

C'mon you Clarets.

Weirdly absent of any feelings. Think I accepted it a long while back and in many ways I’m happy to have been put out of my misery.

Happy that barring a football miracle it’ll be Luton coming down with us. We need that division as weak as possible to give us the best chance.

Excited for next season, seeing who we sign, the derbies, no VAR and winning games already!! Up the clarets!

Just another relegation to add to all the others I've seen since the first in 1971. Disappointing but all part of being a Burnley supporter and we will be promoted & relegated again many times I'm sure if football still exists in 2124.

Disappointed and a little surprised at how the season panned out but over it and happy to welcome the new season.
The one thing that has hacked me off most this year is the toxic rubbish aimed at the players and management by certain posters on here some of them, as they've readily admitted, can't even be bothered to go on the Turf.
Up to them, of course, but I really hope they do one over the close season and don't come back

Yes that time. We were a decent side in a very strong division. Unfortunately we were too complacent until January and then didn't quite have time to recover. We shouldn't have gone down.

Been on the cards since about 6 games into the season.

Said it last week but this is least I have ever cared about the club. Disconnected.

Hopefully a good championship season will bring me back around. We really should walk that league, I would argue our B team would challenge for top 2.

Regardless of what happens next season we will probably have one of our most interesting summers ever. I am fully expecting at least 10-14 to leave and half of them coming in.

Since 1995 we've only been relegated three times, all three from the Premier League.

I doubt many people would have believed that in 1995.

For me, it all feels sterile. Been a long term Burnley fan and started taking my son, who was six, in the first Dyche Premier League season. The next few years were brilliant, Europe, dogged performances. My son became a huge fan and we had brilliant days, home and away. Every year, he was excited to meet the players at Junior Clarets Christmas parties. I have a raft of great photos and he has all his autographs. Best bit was when he did a footy school in the summer and played on the same team as Sam Vokes who turned up.
Regardless of the footy, this vibe has been lost for a couple of years. That's the disappointment.

Annoyed by a shite ref who denied us two stonewall penalties and allowed Spurs to foul with impunity. We should never have gone down and now we rebuild with players who are up for the fight and go on to win the Championship again UTC

Indifferent.

Not because I don't care, but because it was priced in a long time ago. It was obvious from October time that we were a notch or two short in every department and that we'd signed some talented players but who were never going to gel into a team capable of succeeding at this level in time for this season.

I'm cautiously optimistic about next season though. Provided the financial position is what you'd expect it to be, after the inevitable sales there should be more than enough quality remaining to give us a team that ought to get promoted if it is sprinkled with a bit of leadership and championship nous. That probably requires Kompany to go away on holiday and pause and reflect on what he's trying to do as a coach, and where he's gone wrong this season. The mistakes of this season can't be repeated.

Indifferent is a good word to describe my feelings too so I’ll go with that. I’m glad we’ve stuck by the manager and identity, despite modern football and narratives suggesting going the opposite way. I’m also looking forward to next season and optimistic for another successful (but I’d bet tougher) season.
