Muric - 6. I landed in the middle. A number of excellent saves..... and yet appalling distribution where he gift-wrapped God knows how many chances. A typical Muric performance you might say

Assignon - 6 - ok but the amateur dramatics at the end were not a good spectacle.
Esteve - 7 - unlucky not to score first half with a good header
O'Shea - 6 - has to go over sooner for the first goal.
Taylor - 6 - did ok but has to be upgraded next season

Cullen - 6 - early yellow card didn't help
Berge - 7 - super thru ball for the goal and almost another. Can we keep hold of him is probably the big question.
JBL - 6 - lovely finish but again goes missing for chunks of the game
Vitinho - 5 - I can see why he picked him but not involved enough. Poor for the first goal.

Odobert - 6 - some flashes but I need a bit more. Will develop.
Foster - 5 - huffed and puffed

Benson - 6 - nice to see him get a run but about a season too late.

We're down but we have been down maybe since West Ham at home and definitely since Luton at home. A dead-cat bounce at the end won't disguise it.
The recruitment last Summer was on reflection, borderline disastrous and that for me is the main reason we are down. Yes we have been effed over numerous times by VAR - end of the day we haven't been good enough.

Muric 7 - Typical Aro. Some great saves and passes but also some absolutely woeful balls that don’t even belong in Sunday League.
Assignon 4 - He’s a cheat and an utter wet wipe. Send him back.
O Shea 5 - Poor game by Dara. Why he kept backing off from Porro for the equaliser I can’t fathom because PP was the danger.
Esteve 5 - Not his best game but he can definitely be worked with for next season.
Taylor 5 - Had a tough time especially as Vitinho left him high and dry on numerous occasions.
JBL 7 - Probably one of his best games for us and took his goal well.
Cullen 6 - Did well 1st half but faded 2nd and we got overrun in midfield.
Berge 7 - This lad could be a Rolls Royce of a player and was quite rightly named player of the season. Great run and ball for our goal.
Vitinho 3 - I have no words for his performance.
Foster 3 - How he got 80 odd minutes again beggars belief. Absolute dog.
Odobert 6 - Thought he did ok today and another player that we could work with if he does stay.

Benson 4 - Made of glass.

Again we started pretty well and actually got in front but you just know the way we defend we don’t have a clean sheet in us no matter how many good saves Aro makes. I suspect we are in for another clear the decks summer and start again because I think a couple of our better players will be courted by other Prem sides.

Shameful and embarrassing. His own player had to come and drag him up and he was still kicking off. We’d had all our substitution slots unfortunately.

After reflection you might want to change that Ct, he was a menace down the right for a good chunk of the game. 2 falls to the floor doing make it an abysmal performance

Agreed, but it was as much a penalty as the Celtic one today though

Hottest I’ve ever been at a game. We just couldn’t match their intensity second half but it was a decent effort. Good support by Clarets there and great reception for manager & team at the end.

Muric 6 - worst I’ve ever seen his distribution, decent keeping though, could he have done better with the first?
Assignon 6 - defended A LOT of 1v1 situations quite well I thought
O’Shea 7 - felt he was decent
Esteve 7 - same as above, these 2 will dominate the Championship in my opinion
Taylor 5 1 last game for the club? Badly need a new left back
Larsen 6 - really well taken goal, some other puzzling bits of play though
Berge 7 - used the ball well and classic Sander Berge assist (should do more of it)
Cullen 5 - tidy ish but struggled against their physicality
Vitinho 3 - really poor going both ways
Odobert 7* - the pick for me, clever use of the ball, showed good strength at times and will undoubtedly have suitors
Foster 6 - good first half but faded badly second

Benson 5 - was barely able to get on the ball

Assignon getting marks varying from 3 to 7.

His varying marks are purely down to the incident at the end and which side of the fence you sit on.
Take that out and his 3s would be 6s or 7s

Muric 7 some big saves cancelled out some dodgy play first half
Assignon 4 didn't even realise he was playing first 20
Taylor 5 getting slower, this summer is his time to move on
O'Shea 7
Esteve 7 the start of a promising pairing with him and O'Shea which gives us room to cash in on Beyer
Cullen 7
Berge 8 gets better every week but I'd be happy to see him sold for big money if it meant keeping others that need another year
Vitinho 4 playing him as a winger has to stop
Bruun Larsson 7 hope he stays
Odobert 7
Foster 5 probably the most inconsistent player we've ever had

I actually think he can defend, he just doesn't want to.
That's the difference between him and Vitinho. Assignon has the ability but he will most probably waste it unless a strong manager gets hold of him

Muric 6- ropey 1st half great saves 2nd- a big fee is possible
Assignon 4- just awful, histrionics , lazy , average RB, can do much better but not here .
O’Shea 6- at least this lad wants it .
Estève 6- could be v good in champ , ok today
Taylor 6- cracking blocks , left exposed by other poor defenders .
Bruun Larsen 6+1 goal , odd game otherwise
Berge 7- he looks decent in this terrible rabble , 20m + would be great .
Cullen 6- does his thing , but desperately needs a ball winners
Vitinho- 4- apart from being quick he offers almost nothing
Odobert 5-talented but needs show pony’s to play off , probs get a decent fee for him .
Foster 4 - pretty poor and you wonder about his reading of the game and runs .

Benson N/A

A poor end to a terrible season , don’t buy into the bs “ but but we’ve been really good last 10 games “

Muric 7 some remarkable saves, some remarkably bad distribution
Assignon 7 I really like him
O’Shea 7 solid
Estève 7 really good player
Taylor 6 meh
Bruun Larsen 6 (8 1st half, 4 2nd half)
Berge 8 just class
Cullen 6 quiet recently
Vitinho 6 works hard, but not really good enough
Odobert 7 some real skill
Foster 3 did he come off the pitch for 10 minute breaks? So anonymous. Our complete lack of goal threat is why we are relegated for me.

Assignon 5 WTF was he doing at the end of the game- embarrassing behaviour, i was actually laughing.
O’Shea - 5- WTF was he doing for Porros goal-backed off and let the guy take a shot and guess what , he scored.
Estève 6- did ok.
Taylor 7- ooh Charlie Taylor- proper defender.
Bruun Larsen 6- good goal
Berge 8- Even my neutral Guests at the match stated he was the best player on the pitch.
Cullen 60 meh
Vitinho 5- god help me.
Odobert 7- really lively 1st half, created two good chances

and to his legs and feet apparently! ;)
Yes that’s what I meant. His brain was starved of blood and it affected his cognitive functions, especially the legs and feet.
Ridiculous hairdo also. Probably paid top dollar for it.

Shameful and embarrassing. His own player had to come and drag him up and he was still kicking off. We’d had all our substitution slots unfortunately.
Other than acting stupidly for a moment, was it a 3/10 performance?

Assignon marks are funny. Stupid at the end but he works hard and looks like he cares. They changed winger sides cos of how dominant he was first half. That incident is clouding judgement

Muric 8. Some poor kicking but as a goalkeeper, superb.
(And last season I thought he was a good sweeper!)
Assignon 6
O’Shea 7
Estève 7
Taylor 7
Bruun Larsen 7 1 for the goal
Berge 7
Cullen 6
Vitinho 5
Odobert 6
Foster 5

Benson 6

Tough hot day to play our style of football. Was always going to be a problem later on if we weren’t going to make full use of the subs early enough. Foster needed to come off with at least 20 to go i.e before they scored. The subs were baffling as we have the lesser spotted Tresor and Benson sent on to save our season when they have had so few minutes this season. At least use players who have had more game time and are more up to the pace of it all such as Guddy or the 2 later subs. That said Benny’s first minute was very promising until he took his customary early knock.

The game summed up our season, very promising in parts, too many mistakes and an inconsistent referee preferring our opponents.

Muric 7 Has to be Number 1
Assignon 7 Cut out the cheating and there is a talented player to be had.
O’Shea 7 Captain material next season
Estève 6 Should partner Dara next season
Taylor 6 Did well against Porro
Bruun Larsen 7* Took the goal really well and seems to thrive driving through the middle
Berge 7 Classy assist for the goal
Cullen 6 Generally okay but early yellow tamed him
Vitinho 7 Always worth an extra point for attitude and took a quality save to stop his header
Odobert 6 Absent for much of the game
Foster 5 Not at the races and not happy I think

Benson 6

At least it's confirmed after 37 games what we knew after 26 games.

Muric 5 woeful first half, should have done better with the goal, some big saves and improved distribution 2nd half. Far too erratic for this level, from the brilliance to sheer stupidity in moments.

Assignon 6 ridiculous antics at the end
Esteve 7
O’Shea 7

Taylor 4 another weak link, how many times do you want to be warned about leaving a huge gap? Do not vacate that side, got away with it a few times then they scored from the same thing.

Cullen 7
Berge 8 touch of class

Odobert 7 his defensive work has improved a ton, created our best openings.

JBL 7 great touch and finish, bright first half he just fades quickly.

Vitinho 4 missed an easy chance, contributed nothing at either end. The two weak links on our left were clearly exploited time and time again.

Foster 3 did he touch the ball? I don’t think I’ve seen a striker less involved than Foster is. He doesn’t make runs, can’t hold the ball up and would struggle to pass wind. We’ve had some pretty poor strikers down the years but at least Jutkiewicz occupied a defence, got his arse in and made it a battle. Completely invisible no presence despite his big frame and a decent turn of pace. Useless

Another frustrating performance, we simply aren’t strong or clever enough for the PL. For the Championship, Muric will be fine, the two centre backs who played yesterday should be ok, Cullen and Berge should be fine, I am clueless as to what role Odobert is playing, Foster doesn’t seem to have his head in the right place. We will need a left back, a powerhouse midfielder, and two strikers who can score goals at Championship level. Please don’t sign any more light weight wingers/midfielders.
