Have to say that's absolute bobbins.

Wood is statistically getting 1 in 2 this year. That's levels above anything we've ever had at this level let alone the current crop.

Not sure they've spent £100million though.
Well, perhaps they should have.

They'd still have gone down.

74% possession, 10 shots, none on target.

Sums up the whole season, and absolutely the wrong way for Burnley to play, especially in the Premier League.

No-nearer to £23m-about what we paid for Amdouini and Tresor. Who would have thought we finished below them

One, you wouldn't have (you could be Robbie Blake for all I know...)

But if you put Foster or Rodriguez in this Forest team I doubt they'd get anywhere near 14 league goals. Maybe in a few years' time.

It's easy to criticise Wood because he doesn't do a lot apart from score goals. Hence some of the absurd criticism of Haaland this season (and van Nistelrooy many years ago).

Wood's record speaks for itself. Double figures in five different PL seasons in some pretty poor teams.

We have gone back to the days before that decent spell. All far too easy for Forest.

Luton spent nothing hardly and still finished above us … it goes to show this team is much worse than last seasons winning team.:: and we will find out soon enough

And people keep lapping up the absolute tripe Kompany offers up. They then expect him to lift this team to get promoted next season.

The blokes bust.
Yes TRIPE but both on and off the field

Really hard to judge the standard of any opposition as teams don’t really need to do a lot to beat us.

I’m normally at every home game but I’ve been ill for a few days so not there today. It sounds awful reading this. Anyone know what the attendance is.

Disappointing half with the tone set after 1 minute when Taylor gets skinned alive.

Zeki and Lyle are shot of confidence and look a shadow of the duo that played ever so well in the reverse fixture.

Yip. Sit back, don't make silly mistakes and then counter.
Hot knife through butter so many times this season.

Or remove the sit back part if you fancy boosting your goal difference.

Even with nothing to lose we don't look like getting back into it.

I really hope this second half they manage to turn it around, but not holding my breath.

That's a good question.

Would you not like Charlie Taylor? Nobody can criticise his efforts. Berrge?

Last time out we had players who had been with us and had vested adniration in the bank. A bit tough on new players who stand a hiding to nothing, really.

It's unfair to say they don't care. I'm sure one or two of them probably aren't bothered, but most will be. It can't be nice getting humiliated week in week out in front of millions.

But no, I find it hard to connect with this team, for the first time in my Burnley supporting career. I loved last year's team and it got ripped to pieces and replaced, expensively, by players who in most cases are worse than those discarded.

In most cases they are just not good enough to play at this level, and have been coached and directed badly all season.

Funny that.
I was thinking whilst on for the 1st half, do I actually like any of these players.
Im dont mean on a personal note, clearly some of them have talent of some form bit I cannot relate to most of them. There's no characters at all. Keep has some personality but that's about it. Not to mention leadership. It's non existent in this squad.
I can sort of forgive today. I can't be arsed. Only managed 40mins before going pub. 1000s found something better to do on prob best weather day of year and a Sunday 4pm ko.
Maybe they can't be arsed aswel today.

You’re potentially right about style, I don’t know if it’s just the fact we are still used to seeing a Dyche side.

But I just don’t see “hearts, legs, Minds” out there anymore. Players are shying away from the ball. No one is willing to put in a hard tackle.

I can’t believe I’m saying it but I think I actually miss Brownhill. At least he looks like he cares

the constant chopping and changing of the side is a massive issue, you can't like a player when you don't know if they are playing from week to week or will be sold every window. Something the club need to think about, not too many in this team I'm fond of that's for sure.

I read somewhere earlier this week that Kompany puts a huge emphasis on training ground performance when picking his sides - which partly explains the chopping and changing. If you have a "bad" week of training, you get replaced.

It's why the first line up of the season was so strange - I remember being at the City game and seeing the first XI and thinking that cannot be our best XI.

I don't think it's ever going to be a feature of Kompanys play. To some extent it seems he's keen to get rid of any of the players that still embody any blood and guts spirit.

I've no problem with Kompany pursuing his own tactics and style but it's come to this for me. I think Kompanys system works when you have the best players in the division (not just works but excells). But I think it absolutely fails when you're at the lower end.

The reality is this side is still so naive, he's still asking them to play a game that they just can't do on a consistent basis. I guess some people think in a few seasons these players will all improve as a group- but I strongly suspect that any successes will be sold on to keep us going.

Kompany needs to take a leaf out of Dyches book, more pragmatic next year, slightly worse football but we'll be much better off for it. We struggle to score and we can't defend- it's terminal. I'm amazed some people are still happy, but some have found their hill and will die on it.

It’s absurd to say this is the worst Burnley team in living memory, but I think it’s the most out of its depth I’ve ever seen - relative to three league we’re in.
