18 goals scored at home (5 v Sheff Utd) 43 conceded 10 points in total 6 of those against teams who had a player sent off. Lost 1st 7 home games a new record amongst top flight clubs Grim stats at home.

Never said I’d match him you cabbage, said I would’ve scored his two goals today.
Weird that you're sat at home in your jockeys then instead of starting for a Premier league team.

I don't think it's ever going to be a feature of Kompanys play. To some extent it seems he's keen to get rid of any of the players that still embody any blood and guts spirit.
I think it may be Howe syndrome as others have suggested. He's a young manager and he's actually played against some of the older lads. By all accounts, both from Anderlecht and the likes of Micah Richards discussing his personality as City captain, he's a very demanding, at times selfish "my way or bust" type. That can be challenging if you're not much older than the players, so having a younger more malleable team suits him.

I read somewhere earlier this week that Kompany puts a huge emphasis on training ground performance when picking his sides - which partly explains the chopping and changing. If you have a "bad" week of training, you get replaced.
From Cork's leaving interview I'm not sure how true this claim is.

And the same Luton taking 4 points off Everton, who beat us 3 times this year. We could go on, but Luton look like finishing above us, showing how we have progressed
Yes. Also the same team we took 4 points off and it should have been 6. Shows how they progressed. Not really the team to show us anything, really.

Look we struggled breaking down low block teams last season and Benson/Maatsen/Tella got us out of several holes with outstanding finishing, albeit against Rotherham et al and not £300m Forest. To play this style you need more creativity. Last season we outperformed expected goals by an incredibly unsustainable amount. I agree with boyyanno that I’d like to see Kompany develop his style and create better chances with it. Our xG this season has been nowhere near enough which means we aren’t creating enough good chances.

That's a good point and I think there was some mention of it on MTB, I seem to recall he said he had a preference for younger players or somthing similar.

I also put it down to the type of football he wants to play, I personally think the technical players that also have the blood and thunder are elite level and probably way out of our reach.

I just watched it. I mean, Jack would say that to be honest - and also, it could be his way of having a dig at Kompany? A manager who professes to pick those doing best in training, and Cork is saying well why didn't you pick me then?

Yep I'm sure Cork's opinion is going to be coloured somewhat by natural self-bias, but I do suspect Kompany has his favourites. Every manager does, it's to be expected, and Cork wasn't his signing. Just more that I don't believe the idea that Kompany, or any manager, is entirely fair & objective in their selection.

Yeah of course. And as hard as Cork tries in training I don't think he's PL quality anymore so don't really blame Kompany for not picking him.

Funny game really. Can only remember Muric making one save and picking the ball out of his net twice.

Another illustration of how little these Premier League teams have needed to do.to beat us.

Well thank **** those 38 games are all over and done with. It's been painful. Perhaps the least enjoyable season since we've played in the EPL.

We may not run away with the Champ but at least can look forward to a few competitive games and then see what happens.

Roll on August!

Abiding memory of seeing most of that game on US TV was first of all glad I didn’t bother going, and secondly how much we improved when the “old guard” came on. Particularly those early balls in from JBG.

Forest plyers milking the limelight. Seem to think they're Liverpool and they've won the Champions League or something. Not really sure why. They've even got some tiny trophy out. All a bit poor.

Noticed VK had a little chat with Origi.

Because Roberts, who was one player that was likeable even if flawed, had been sent to Leeds.

And if robbie_painter was the real Robbie painter then yes, he'd probably have scored those tap ins.
