He may well be but he’d already gone from Burnley, one of four who left after Sunday.

Just the compensation to be sorted, by the look of it. I'm tonight.

Really not fussed about Jackson leaving. Get what you are saying about players we’ve now got suited to a certain style but imagine we’ll be appointing a manager who plays the same style.BabylonClaret wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 9:39 pm****. Frankly we are ****** if this pans out. We wasted a shutkoad of money on players who weren't ready, brought for a style for a manager who won't be here in a league where we may struggle to compete if we get off to a bad start.
This could be an absolute disaster and frankly I think less of Vince than Coyle if this is true. He sacrificed our Prem survival on his mantra then ****** off.

He will be looking forward to a fresh start

He's hardly Judas. He's going to a massive club in plain sight and with the owners permission, not scurrying and lying like a rat in order to move to a shitbag club down the road.

Kompany has done a lot of really bad things in the last 12 months that he should be judged harshly for but turning down Bayern Munich to manage in the Championship would be worse than the lot.

Do we know why Bellamy had already left? Is this where the rumours of us trying to get Ashley Cole as assistant came from?

Re: Kompany to Bayern Munich?
Well considering Pace supposedly had Kompany down as the "prettiest girl you're just waiting to move on" I'm hoping he has had a serious list of candidates ready to approach for this exact time and situation. If we end up absolutely in the bin and getting a new manager in at the end of the summer or even worse relying on one random member of staff when going into the season we're royally screwed.
Re: Kompany to Bayern Munich?
Just catching up on the news that he's all but gone now.
My first thought... hell's teeth we've just got the deal of the century. How on earth have we pulled this off.

Re: Kompany to Bayern Munich?
A squad assembled to play a very specific way. A squad that largely signed to play for Kompany. I imagine many of them are frantically onto their agents as we speak trying to engineer moves. Couldn’t be happening at a worst time, probably at the point where we’re going to get the lowest return on the investment of last summer. Had he stayed and gone back up we could well have flipped a few for big money.
Pace is going to have to work miracles to recover from this.

Re: Kompany to Bayern Munich?
Not sure it is a ‘very specific way’. Many managers play a similar brand of football these days. But even then we will have enough cash to tweak things here and there. Also not sure why they will be frantically trying to get moves just cause the manager is leaving, what if they really like the next manager?PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2024 10:02 pmA squad assembled to play a very specific way.
