Any chance the Lampard voters can identify themselves? Then I can be in absolutely no doubt whatsoever that their opinions on here are 100% worth ignoring

Hopefully it bodes well that most of the names on the list would be good choices.
Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
Fabregas is the best name I've seen so far. With Knutsen next

No doubt when we look back at this in a couple of years we’ll cringe at some of the votes. Did you do a similar poll before Kompany was appointed, Tony, and if you did could you share the results please?
Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
I remember voting for Steve Davis (the other one) from Crewe at one point before Dyche. Glad that didn't happen

Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
I have voted for none of the above, because if I'm restricted to one choice I have to stick with my preferred choice of Graham Potter. I remember when he brought Ostersund from the 4th level to the top division, qualified for Europe and came to my notice when reading a piece prior to playing Arsenal in European club competition. I thought then that he would be ideal for our club. We missed the boat first time around, but here we are with perhaps another opportunity to bring him to our club.
Still only 49 and yet with a wealth of different managerial experience.
Having said that there are several on that list that I would be happy with but my number one choice is our Graham.

Interestingly the top two are managers that I doubt will be remotely interested in us.
If we do get either that’s a real sign of intent

Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
I think Moyes is a reach (although one we should be trying) but I don't think Cooper can expect to be offered a Premier League job which makes us as good an option as he could hope for.
Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
Why would we want the ugliest manager in the world?

I suspect generally fans are more interested in having a good manager than having someone to lust after

Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
I think we need a bit of realism for those wanting Potter. I bet Chelsea are still paying him the best part of £10m a year. He isn’t going to leave that behind to manage us in the Championship.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 2:19 pmI have voted for none of the above, because if I'm restricted to one choice I have to stick with my preferred choice of Graham Potter. Gone for cooper, would be happy with him or Moyes.
Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
Cooper or Knutsen for me. Given Cooper is supposedly on our list I went for him. I think he ticks most boxes.

Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
Someone who’s just voted for Cooper claimed his football was “dire” last week. Nowt as strange as folk, as they say.
Cooper would be a sensible choice for me, but there are some good potential candidates on the list.

I fancy the WBA manager, experience & can set a defence up & got WBA into the play offs with not spending a penny.
Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
Cooper all the way. Proper manager and comes across as a decent bloke. I actually like Lampard but not as a manager.

As a few others have already said, Moyes and Cooper are both good options.
I plumped for Moyes too.

Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
On the basis that Potter is favourite to go back to Brighton, it wasn’t worth including his name. I was trying to only include those who are attainable.Darnhill Claret wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 2:19 pmI have voted for none of the above, because if I'm restricted to one choice I have to stick with my preferred choice of Graham Potter. I’m sorry to say it again it’s Moysey.

Potter feels a long way out of our reach.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 4:00 pmOn the basis that Potter is favourite to go back to Brighton, it wasn’t worth including his name. I was trying to only include those who are attainable.
Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
The right man for now has to be someone with significant experience of English football and someone who can unite and motivate players. Someone who can swiftly identify who from the player pool can be of use and who needs to go (beyond who will be going anyway). Get this one wrong, and it's a potential death spiral. So, not a foreigner with no real exp of this environment for me.

Plus he's probably collecting a Kings ransom from Chelsea, why on earth would he take a pay cut to come to Burnley.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 4:00 pmOn the basis that Potter is favourite to go back to Brighton, it wasn’t worth including his name. Re: ARTICLE: Who is your choice to become the next Burnley manager?
I would say Knutsen best matches the style that VK tried to play and was unsuccessful with.
It would be really great if we can persuade him to come over from Norway, big ask though.
Cooper or Moyes would do me but I think Alan should really consider the first guy a lot more as we need another full reboot of personnel.
Knutsens European record is not to be sniffed at either.
Would say his style is more progressive than Moyes or Cooper.

Moyes would be my first choice, followed by Cooper. I hope Moyes could be a realistic target, but I fear that he wouldn't be. He'd be some appointment if we could make it happen.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 4:18 pmThat first sentence nails it for me and that’s why I voted for Moyes.
