Where’s this info from? Who’s in the final 5 then?
Not being a knob but I’d rather not say as can’t be certain how reliable the info is but if Tony can confirm that’s accurate (that we have a final 5 and RVN isn’t in it) then I’ll post who else I was told was out of the running.
As for who is in, details sketchy and 2 names undisclosed and also not public yet.

Fabregas would potentially bring T Henry as part of his staff.
That would attract names, even Lorenz might regret his decision...
Henry would be a really interesting choice. Only really managed the French youth teams so a complete unknown and high risk but would be such a big name you would expect he’d attract a lot of players.
Presumably managing an English club would attract him and be a step up from international youth football, so a good next step in his development.
He might also turn Foster in to a beast

Henry also played for New York at the end of his career which would lift Burnley's profile in the US

Apparently there's 8 in the final beauty parade after the owners have assessed a wide range of options, this process will be concluded by the end of June I've been told
End of June!
I’d have hoped for someone in sooner than that to start assessing what needs to be done and set the wheels in motion.

AP has a strong preference for the best looking in that parade. Surely no bigger clue

Think we are waiting to see who Leicester and Brighton appoint. Cooper and Coberon can't both get the job and Brighton might go back for Potter. Also Leicester have reported interest in Ruud van Nistelrooy. Can't see it being Henry he is the manager of the France Olympic team and depending how they do that doesn't finish until 10 August - the weekend the season starts.

Fabregas isn't manager at Como, he's assistant while doing his badges.
He's the top choice for me.
He comes across very well.
He literally has shares in como, he’s not leaving for Burnley

It’s all really been quiet. One or two we approached said no thanks I believe so it never got as far as talking to them. I suspect Cooper was one of them.
I can’t imagine there is anything in Pardew but the word continues to be that Pace wants a big name so Lampard fits the bill there.
The fact that we’ve appointed a caretaker manager suggests we might be waiting for some time. There really isn’t much need for a caretaker right now with the players away. I heard that VK would have had them back in now as he did last year but I think that’s now been put back to the last week of this month.
The betting suggests nothing is anywhere near close as yet.

Fabregas desperately wants to manage in the Premier League. We are about as close as you can get atm.
I just don't see a Premier League club taking a chance on him for a while yet...

Don't want to go off topic but getting them back so soon would have been ridiculous. After a season like that a proper break and come back refreshed would be miles more beneficial. Just more evidence of VK being stubborn/pig headed.

Kompany walked off straight into another job and he proved to be no great shakes as far as managing in the PL.

I do recall Gary Neville questioning Burnley’s pre-season plans at the time. Possibly another indication that VK wasn’t too sure in his approach to the PL.

I’ve said it before but in October 2012 we had a shortlist of Sean Dyche, Stephen Pressley and Steve Lomas. Maybe not worried but definitely underwhelmed.

Can’t compare were we are now to 2012 but I see your point, it’s very underwhelming

Would be happy with either Corberan, Cooper or Robins, all three would take us up next season and then take us forward in the Premier League. They all can’t be appointed to jobs in the premier league this month so very happy Alan to have whose left?
Birmingham City appointed Rooney and now want Lampard. Some owners never learn , leave them to it Alan

Problem is getting Corberan or Robins out of their clubs. Why would they want a move to a fellow Champ club? Even though we have the best chance of promotion next season, they might want to show loyalty to their respective clubs, just like we’d hope our manager will/would in a similar position.

It depends on the length of their respective contracts, the level of our interest/valuation and if they have aspirations of managing in the PL.

Hoping that if he doesn’t get one of the Prem jobs he will reconsider our interest , maybe he even said that?
Shame he has the same agent as Lampard who will be pushing him for us because we would be the best he could ever hope for, if he becomes a manager again .

I think you answered your own question there , because they would have the best chance with us. Haven’t we also read that everything wasn’t as rosy for Corberan at WBA as he would have liked? Also it doesn’t look like Corberan would be very loayal if Leicester want him .
