Loyalty Points
Loyalty Points
Some info on Loyalty Points, Next week, points which were accrued in the 2018/19 season will be removed from all supporters points total. (as per the rolling points system). So practically everyone's total will then be less than the figure showing at present.

I think you are confusing loyalty points with team card points or whatever it is.

I currently have 2460 (used to be over 9000) So the points from 2018/19 will be removed dropping me back to 2000 points then
Re: Loyalty Points
It is ironic that in a season when we got so few points in the league ALK are also making sure all loyal fans lose some of their loyalty points
Re: Loyalty Points
You'll lose 350 season ticket points plus any points which you got from away league games and cup games. The 350 season ticket points for this coming season's ST have already been added to your total.

Re: Loyalty Points
It became so difficult buying away tickets for our group last year (we found ourselves spread over three different buying periods) that we stopped going. Looks like it'll become even more complicated now.

Re: Loyalty Points
In a few years time it will become that the only difference between the regular supporters (those with season tickets for 5 years minimum) will be the amount of points accrued from away games and cup games...which is exactly how it should be.
Crucially younger supporters with a season ticket for a minimum of 5 years won't be at any disadvantage.

I agree. Before this change kids had no chance of catching up with older fans. Now after 5 seasons, you are there or there abouts.Somethingfishy wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 8:42 pmIn a few years time it will become that the only difference between the regular supporters (those with season tickets for 5 years minimum) will be the amount of points accrued from away games and cup games...which is exactly how it should be.

Re: Loyalty Points
Thanks, I don't know why but I once thought that the 350 points award for a season ticket was linked to the price of the ticket for an adult, think mine was around that in the CFS. With kids costing less, thought they got less. No idea why I thought that.
Cheers.

It’s based on 10pts per game regardless if adult or kidmybloodisclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 6:29 amThanks, I don't know why but I once thought that the 350 points award for a season ticket was linked to the price of the ticket for an adult, think mine was around that in the CFS. If you’d bought a ticket for each home league game individually you would earn 230 points (or 190 in the premier)
The addition 120 are a bonus/incentive for getting a STH

Re: Loyalty Points
What should happen now with so many in the first category of points needed is that it goes on number of away games the previous season.
If we got 2k again at Blackburn then it should be 2000 points and 15 aways last season, then 10 then anyone with 2000.

Re: Loyalty Points
So just to be clear Pete, any supporter who has renewed his or her season ticket and went to all away games last season should end up with similar points after having ones deducted from 5 years ago. Or am I missing something?
Obviously, if someone has renewed but didn’t go to any away games last season they should then see a points deficit.

Re: Loyalty Points
As soon as you get any tickets or ST, the loyalty points will be added straight away. There will likely be a lap over of 6 seasons worth for a few weeks, but then reset to 5 seasons on July 1st (just an example) ready for the new season.Jamesy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 9:05 amSo just to be clear Pete, any supporter who has renewed his or her season ticket and went to all away games last season should end up with similar points after having ones deducted from 5 years ago. Re: Loyalty Points
No Jamesy.
Anyone who has had a season ticket and attended all or most of the away matches in the last five seasons won’t see much of a difference. Anyone who has always ( let’s say last 25 years) but only attended a few matches in 2019/20 will lose a lot of points. Or someone who didn’t get a season ticket that year but had one for 20 years before and every season since will lose a lot of points. This disadvantage stays with them for 5 years!!
Loyalty now only goes back 5 years!!

Therefore the club are actually looking after the loyal supporters. The ones who have followed home and away for past 5 seasons.
I’m not sure about that membership thing though where people can pay so much per season and jump the queue for away tickets?

I personally don’t have an issue with it and it was discussed at length on here when the points system was changed/overhauled.
I don’t understand this other scheme however, where for an annual fee you can have priority for tickets? I can’t remember the name of it or the actual concept but I know it exists.

Re: Loyalty Points
Am not totally sure but I seem to think there were/are a couple of levels of "membership" ... as a season ticket holder have never bothered reading too much about it.

Re: Loyalty Points
They're able to purchase 2 tickets per away game and the Membership Scheme is allocated a maximum of 5% of the away allocation but this is dependent on what that allocation is. Presumably if it's say Luton, then it may be less than 5%.

Re: Loyalty Points
If someone attended the same number of away games last season as they did in 2018/19, they'll be starting off this season with slightly more points than they did the 2019/20 season, as in 2018/19 it was 10 points per away game, whereas last season it was 20 points.

I know it was controversial when it was brought in, but did anyone in the top points group miss out on a ticket because of it, I don't think we have many members who are not regular attendees anyway

Re: Loyalty Points
Possibly, everyone I knew got one, and quite a few avaible on various fan outlets
Before the season started I was tempted to join just to make sure I got tickets ( I'm in the top points) but circumstances changing meant I wouldn't be going to as many away games so didn't bother, but looks like it would have been a waste of money anyway as tickets weren't in the demand I thought they would have been.

Re: Loyalty Points
Question. The website makes it appear that loyalty points go back to 2019-2020 inclusive. So everyone who had had a season ticket for that entire period should have a minimum of 2100 points (350x6). I've had my season ticket for much longer than that, but am only on 1900 points. Can anyone explain?

Whilst I understand what you’re saying, and why it concerns you, if it wasnt like that, we’d end up with our away support having an average age of 76. What we are now doing is effectively putting a ceiling in place, which means kids (who otherwise couldn’t get near an away ticket) could now get to go away with their dad after building up enough points.
This system isn’t going to be fair for everyone, but neither was the outgoing one really. I’m happy to look at one that will be fairer if anyone’s thought of one?

End of last season I had over 1900 points when I just looked today it has dropped to 1460 despite me renewing my ST. Does that sound right or do I need to contact TO.

When I questioned my reduction the Ticket Office advised both mine and my sons accounts have been deducted 470 points. so looks about right.

1. Open Safari (normal) web browser.
2. At the bottom of the screen there is a symbol of 2 overlapping boxes, click this and then click/scroll to " private"
Type in the usual address and it works.
