VAR used properly and quickly …. Amazing isn’t it
That would have taken 5 minutes in the PL and they probably would have given a penalty

This is genuinely like watching Burnley this season. A bit of effort for 5 minutes then 30 minutes of mistakes, mishaps, lack of effort or quality being absolutely dominated.

I too was in France for the 2016 Euros....I saw England fans wearing Irish shirts because they were so embarrassed to be English !.....also witnessed a Leeds fan wearing a Burnley Shirt ??Devils_Advocate wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 3:22 pmScottish and Irish national team footy fans put the English to shame. Can't we have a nice 4 weeks off before so-called Burnley fans have a pop at the team. I mean come on.

Maybe you had a bad day at work/school or something but you need to lighten up a little.

Re: The Tartan Army
Think their fans deserve better than their manager sh*tting the bed and setting them up like that. Shameful for their first game in a tournament in what, 40 years?

Re: The Tartan Army
To be fair I see zero similarities from this Scotland team and our performances last season
Totally different style of play
We had possession and chances but we couldn’t finish and bad with set pieces and getting caught on the break
This is a shambles of a performance from Scotland

Must admit I’m surprised by how good Germany and bad Scotland have been. On paper Germany always have one of the better teams in major tournaments recently but they finally appear to have found the right formula.

To be fair on reflection, if this was us it would up there with our worst performances of the season. At least we created something at the other end in most games. The Shire Claret wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 8:53 pmTo be fair I see zero similarities from this Scotland team and our performances last season

Do Scotland have the same set pice coach as Burnley? What is it with Mc Ginn running up to and standing on the post when they get a free kick? Embarrassing

Not sure I can think of a single positive for Scotland there, apart from how well they sang the anthem.

Re: The Tartan Army
It’s a bit like a top 4 prem playing a newly promoted . Scot look poor , impossible to see how good the Germans actually are . Let’s hope the Munich authorities have the water cannons out , not for rioting but to clean the streets of vomit and p1ss.
Re: The Tartan Army
Kieran Tierney celebrating not conceding a corner 3 minutes in summed them up. You knew it was over there and then.

Re: The Tartan Army
So I try to be mature about this sort of thing, you know, they're a British side, we should support each other in major Tournaments etc, but then you think back to Wembley in 1977 ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzlwMd0b .....Then Andy Murray's comment a few years ago, Nicola Sturgeon's constant moaning and many other examples over the years come back to mind and you think ....
" B****cks to this ... 3-0 down and down to 10 men ! LMAO ... " ....

Re: The Tartan Army
Scotland were woeful. Germany have some good players but Scotland has quite a few experienced Premier league players and they are being made to look ordinary. Could be a cricket score in second half.at least the sweaties have had a good day on the pop.

Stones and Walker are a different league to anyone in Scotland squad, but I kind of agree, they’d terrorise our defence as it is. No idea if Germany can defend, haven’t had to so far.
