Leicestershire v LANCS….Josh Hull

Post by jdrobbo » Fri Jun 14, 2024 9:24 pm

Great win for Lancs tonight. Not the best performance with the bay, but a super-tight display in the field.

Josh Hull (Leicestershire) massively caught the eye. Very fast and tricky left arm bowler and only nineteen years old. Looks a huge talent, who I don’t even think has been involved at any level of the England setup yet. He looks to have a great future in the game. Hope he’s spotted soon!

It was on YouTube.

Hull plays for Leicestershire and he causes all kinds of trouble for our top order in his first three overs. That said, he went for NINE off the first bowl of his fourth over [no ball (2) with a single taken…free hit (6)]. Looks to have huge potential

Genuinely sharp jdr?

Ive not seen him, but a sharpish youngish left hander is definitely in our hierarchy of needs atm.

Yes. Tall and powerful too. Was even getting a bit of swing.

He needs to improve his catching abilities.

Promising start to his Test career.

Will need to up his pace another 5-8mph but I'm sure that will come as he bulks up in the next 2 years.

Nice to see a left armer too.
