Saka as well. The movement he's making is superb. And then the run and cross.

Re: Euro 2024
Trippier on his wrong side was never going to work, as most said before the tournament started.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 8:52 pmBellingham, Saka, Walker and Rice all very good.
Foden is a luxury and Trippier not too good, which is why we only threaten down the right.
I can't believe an injured Shaw is the only LB we have - it's like England are no better off than Burnley.

Re: Euro 2024
Bellingham and Saka up for it. Rice imposing himself on it.
The rest? As expected.
Truly would love to see Wharton get a chance at the side of Rice.

Re: Euro 2024
Bellingham is class. Rest of them yet again shaping to be less than the expected sum of their parts. I guess that is down to Southgate.
Anyway, here we go again, we'll do alright until we come up against the top teams. I really see nothing to justify our billing as amongst the favourites.

Haha, what? Are you watching the same game?
Saka is playing a very clever game. Foden has 2 men on him every time he has the ball.
Re: Euro 2024
based on what i've seen so far in this tournament, and that's without watching france yet - i'm not convinced by this first half
maybe it changes and we get a few goals 2nd half
i think this side under southgate comes unstuck in the knockouts

Foden defo struggling without the likes of KDB, Haaland, Silva et al to divert attention from him.dannyonclarets wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 9:02 pmHaha, what? Are you watching the same game?

Seen them given.
Strange that VAR don’t even want to look at it.

Re: Euro 2024
Foden is a different player for England.
Game is bypassing Trent as soon as Serbia have stepped it up, only useful in there in possession

Way too static, trying to play at walking pace, nobody making themselves available for forward passes. DIRE!

Re: Euro 2024
This is where tactically Southgate fails . The Serbs have flooded the midfield isolating rice and Trent . Meaning the front 3 have no out balls to them. - kanes dropped deeper to try to get involved . Needs an extra midfielder and a striker of

A Southgate side usually needs more than a one goal lead to make a comfortable watch.

Re: Euro 2024
Changing Gallagher for Trent changes nothing in formation …. If you think he is tactically winning this game against the Serbian manager . I’m at a loss for your understanding of the gamedannyonclarets wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 9:28 pmHow can he fail when we are leading 1-0. and Kane has played deep the entire game?

Re: Euro 2024
Really, really regretting not watching the golf rather than this tonight.
Won’t be sad to see the back of this clown in charge. Just 3 attacking players against Serbia of all teams. Bellingham is a midfielder who bursts forward. It really is so negative. Kane needs support up there.
