Even though it was quicker, it still isn’t quick enough. The players celebrated with the fans then the goal was disallowed. It’s still shite.
I thought it was brilliant how many players fought for the ball for the celebration for it to be disallowed

A hard fought victory for Portugal. Maybe made more difficult by over-reliance in having 39 year old Ronaldo on the pitch.

The team that concede should get the ball. Not the stupid forward.

My biggest niggle with modern football, after watching the EFL playoffs and the first round of matches here, is sides needing a goal still titty pattying it about and never creating a chance because they will not cross it into a crowded box.
Portugal have just got a fluke equaliser because they did just that. I hope more learn. Even at the highest level you can get a mistake or a lucky break.
Yes a cross into the box is of course how England scored.

True but early on and at 0-0. My gripe is when teams need a goal and Fanny about across the pitch.
I see Portugal won it late with another cross that fetched a mistake. Proof of the pudding.

Two quick Croat goals

Unlucky to Albania with a double deflection for the second but Croatia have dominated the second half

Must be one of the best starts to any major football tournament. Can't think of any game that hasn't been exciting.

You get the impression somebody's going to launch a piledriver every time a ball is loose outside the area.
