I assume you’re looking at it through his eyes ? Although as it was on BBC there were no Adverts on the night.Alanstevensonsgloves wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 9:39 pmAnyone else hear the name 'Billy Gilmour' and start singing a certain song in their head?!

Re: Euro 2024
Is it just me or are some of these euros games involving two 'lesser' teams far more entertaining than games involving lots of elite players. Similar to the difference between watching Championship and Premier League football I suppose. Far more unpredictable and frankly a better watch.
Or maybe I'm just trying to convince myself that we're in a better league next year

If it's the Adverts song, it was Gary Gilmore, not Billy.Alanstevensonsgloves wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 9:39 pmAnyone else hear the name 'Billy Gilmour' and start singing a certain song in their head?!

Always liked Makem country.

Are we copy / pasting the pre match discussions about the lineup from Sunday or just the one's after the game?

Re: Euro 2024
Kind of glad they've gone with the same team. Could have changed it and brought someone in for TAA but these early games will be good to get some consistency, let them grow into it, but hopefully still get the results!Buxtonclaret wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 4:03 pmHope they bring Kane into it more, & Foden plays a blinder.

Re: Euro 2024
Always best to go for consistency in tournament football and change when it’s forced, unless of course you really need to change because you were rubbish, but we weren’t.

It's taking the same pattern as the last match. Get stuck in England FFS.

Re: Euro 2024
Don’t get TAA at all in this formation
Mainoo on for him in my opinion
We need someone who can take the ball in to feet and turn and go
And someone who can tackle
TAA seems poor at both in midfield

Tired of seeing this team drop off so much after scoring. It’s an absolutely terrible habit.

Agree here, painful watching him turn and take 10 seconds before releasing it. Wharton would be a better option.BleedingClaret wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 5:34 pmDon’t get TAA at all in this formation

Re: Euro 2024
Where’s the midfield closing down the shot?
Ah yeah, on the bench.
Southgate checking if Gary Neville has his boots with him, as the team is just missing one more right back.

Re: Euro 2024
Ive seen nothing in the 120 mins to suggest TAA is a valid tactic and against even better teams will be punished more.

Denmark look a far better team than us. Quite embarrassing considering the talent comparison across the two teams.

Got some of the best attacking talent in the tournament, yet we are so passive going forwards. Teams must love playing against us as we never play to our strengths.

Re: Euro 2024
Seriously just put Trent at right back and Gordon on the left.
He will find him with them pin point cross field passes in behind and it will give Kane and Bellingham more room to work/interchange in.
