The fire brigade post at dusk Menin Gate is a real tear jerker
And what a dedication from the people there
After 100 years it is still remembered daily and our PM left our D Day vets to try and score political points
That was the final nail in the Tory coffin for me
Started with Partygate when folk couldn’t marry or have decent goodbyes to their loved ones and ended on the beaches of Normandy. Labour will not win the election they have been handed it on a plate
What a season that was with Defour Cork as we were safe by Xmas that season. Amazing football. Was that the season of the goal at Everton after about 20 passes of Dyche so called hoof ball?

The cemeteries around Ypres are incredible. Not a blade of grass out of place. Kudos to the Commonwealth Graves Commission. Visited the Menin Gate service. Again, amazingly humbling. My great uncle is buried in nearby Poperinge. Absolutely loved visiting. A fantastic area and the people are so friendly.

The Accrington Pals site is in France near Albert on The Somme. Ypres is in Belgium. Visited there too and yes, the locals are completely different there.
