Re: Next manager
It's a next manager thread on a football forum. There is always going to be a mixture of speculation, people who think they're in the know but might not have the full picture, and people that just make stuff up. To be honest it'd be a pretty dull thread without that and if you're unable to tolerate it maybe just wait for the club's official announcement. It's no one's job the police it on behalf of everyone.

Not sure which is more baffling? This thread or your post, can't understand either of themnig1954 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2024 11:28 amThis thread is beginning to resemble the remnants of a Lewis Carroll novel and reminds me of the conversation Alice had during the tea party and the challenges she faced in understanding the fundamental concept of time.
The riddles posed seemed to have no answer and existed solely to perpetuate confusion and disorder but chaos was the ruling principle and a strange sense of order still existed. Though riddles need not have answers, language must retain some kind of logic.
The Mad Hatter, March Hare and Dormouse kindly pointed out to Alice that "saying what she means and meaning what she says are not the same thing" which seems to put this whole thread into some kind of context.

RVN has officially rejected us. It’s getting to the point when all the applicants have, after initially applied for the job, all changed their minds. We shall have to hope that Craig Bellamy doesn’t take the Wales job leaving us with no one.

I think we could be described as a stable club (internally) with plenty of potential and amongst the favourites for promotion.

Not saying you're right or wrong.
But if someone has deliberately picked Monday as a reveal date, when England could potentially get knocked out of the Euros.
It would be madness when all the football media will be obsessed with England.

100 pages and we are still no closer.
I really hope Pace has a plan, that becomes clear soon, (I'm pretty confident that he knows exactly what he wants and who that is).

Re: Next manager
This ownership group are all about getting their brand exposed around the world to grow.
They want a big name manager to help that.
Announcing some big name a couple of days after England get knocked out of a tournament, won't get many column inches at all.

Re: Next manager
Some Dutch footy pundit (I think the name was Marcel van der Kraan) just stated on Talksport that RVN was due to walk into the Burnley job until the Man United role became available.

He’s the one who wrote the Telegraaf article saying a deal was close.
But another Dutch journo suggested it wasn’t as close, as did our local press.

Re: Next manager
So only info I have been given on this was weeks ago and I was told a Dutch manager was in the final 5 but not RVN. Plus Parker, Lampard, Bellamy and one other foreign unnamed manager. Not claiming to be another itk, this board has far too many of them

CT has just said his plan was RVN so that makes my info duff, but if RVN prefers a coaching role at United over us then so be it. I’d only want someone fully committed, not someone who was going to be so attracted to (lesser) roles at bigger clubs.

But I’m well informed that it’s Tudor, if England win by 3 goals tonight then Croatia will be officially out so his stint on Croatian will be over.
One stumbling block will be is salmsbury hall will be ready for his residence
