I hope the info lower down is accurate, about Inter. I hate this guy with a passion. He cheats, cheats and cheats again. The SA world cup he could have been sent off in every game but like Sergio Ramos he always gets softed on.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2024 2:59 pmMark Van Bommel has recently left Antwerp, will know a lot of our players from his time in the Belgium league, would also fit in with the ex player name.
Not sure if his ambitions would be to manage in the championship first but I’m sure someone can start a rumour on it

Fabrizio Romano "Van Nistelrooy - keeping options open".
'What I'm hearing is that Ruud van Nistelrooy is very tempted by this possibility to go back to Manchester United.
“He’s still keeping his options open, but in the last 24-48 hours, van Nistelrooy is really tempted to make this new experience as an assistant coach. So I think there’s a very good possibility.
“I think it could also not be the only addition to the Manchester United staff because there is the intention to change something.”
After confirming Ten Hag will stay as manager for next season, United now look to undergo changes within the backroom staff with the pursuit of van Nistelrooy.'
I wonder if RVN is waiting on the OK from Burnley, and Man U assistant is his back up option.

Bookies will quote a price for whoever you ask for.
They can't list a manager that they aren't aware of, or that no-one has asked about.

Just run this whole thread through Nemotron-4 340B, and it has been identified as a synthetic dataset with no causal inference in any posts.
But then again, from the dataset, in has an 86.6% confidence that Brian Miller will be our next manager.

Re: Next manager
I'd posted quite early about RVN flying over here. I haven't heard anything else but I think he was/is the man we want for the job.
I think if we don't get him then we end up with one of the regular candidates like Coberan (at best) or Parker (at worst). I hope we can pull a rabbit out of the hat as none of the other options excite me that much.

Assuming RVN is out, I’m more for Bellamy than Lampard or Parker.

I think what this board really needs is a confirmation message to pop up once submit has been pressed. Along the lines of "Do you really want to post what you have just written. Re: Next manager
I've been quite vocal about why I wouldn't want Bellamy but I'd be hard pushed to choose between him and Parker.
Out of those mentioned at the moment my order would probably be:
Fabregas/RVN
Tudor
Coberan
Lampard
Bertie Bee
Bellamy/Parker
I have to admit though I'm leaning towards the more exciting appointments even though it doesn't necessarily mean they will do a better job. I don't know why but after having the rumours of Lampard, Parker and the same old flying around I was pretty enthused with the talk of RVN.

If Ruud is still unsure on whether to be a coach or a manager I suggest we make the decision for him and get someone in pronto who is fully committed to what is a daunting summer of hard work ahead.

Dutch journalists - Van Nistelrooy return to Manchester United ‘incomprehensible’
Better off at Burnley.
“Then you can become head coach of Burnley, who are good for former players. And he is working on his way and would like to return to the Premier League. Then I find it incomprehensible that you would choose a position as Erik ten Hag’s first, second or third assistant, while you could become head coach of Burnley."

Re: Next manager
Manchester United supporters are going through that period of excitement currently as Ruud van Nistelrooy remains strongly linked with the Reds. It appears the ex-striker is currently weighing up his options between becoming the permanent manager of Championship club Burnley and an assistant coach at Old Trafford.

If memory serves there were similar doubts about Kompany committing to us as he had options elsewhere before that was finally confirmed. I tried to find the threads where we discussed it all but got back to about page 280 on this forum and couldn’t find it

Re: Next manager
Which manager worth his salt would have a coach forced on him ?
and that's with potting Bellamy and Jackson. The coach we have just hired must have been told what his role going to be ? What if the new guy has his trusted guy to bring along in that same role ? Just abit weird
Re: Next manager
In fairness to the board they had no idea that Kompany would leave hence the coach appointment , some boards know the manager will be getting potted or will be leaving so put things in place re recruitment.
Re: Next manager
I can’t help but think salary wise alone he would be better with us. We are not bad payers for managers and 3rd or 4th coach at United is unlikely to be on multiple millions per year.HahaYeah wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2024 6:26 pmDutch journalists - Van Nistelrooy return to Manchester United ‘incomprehensible’

Van Nistelrooy.
Doesn't sound like it's a foregone conclusion at all.
'Unfortunately, United could find that they are being used by Van Nistelrooy as he attempts to negotiate a better deal with Burnley or somewhere else entirely. This could be hard to accept but at the end of the day, the 47-year-old has a family and there certainly won't be any sentimentality shown if United or Burnley chose to part ways with him in the future.
He will need to negotiate the best possible deal for himself and nobody can begrudge him that. Whether Van Nistelrooy is genuinely interested in becoming an assistant manager again rather than sticking to being the head coach, only he knows.'
