Interesting. You'd assume the player would want to know who the manager is going to be, unless the player is happy to sign up without knowing who the manager is. It maybe suggests we are confident internally about who the new manager will be...

Hopefully new manager won’t try and player every other squad member at left back before realising we had a left back with over 100 premier league games at the club who’s close to signing for another prem club

Likely that we will get a head coach who might not be involved in signings. It’s beyond me though.

Not sure how I feel about that if that's the model we're moving towards. Potential for a lot of dead wood that the head coach doesn't want to use.
