I have explained my thinking in a post to Tony above. I won’t argue though, because we’re about to find out one way or the other.

Believe it's Parker or Hjulmand.
If they’re the choices I’ll leave you to guess my preference.

Why wouldn’t be able to be interviewed during the Euros? He doesn’t have to attend it in person.
I understand the fact people can talk without being face to face :D

I just can’t see the Danish FA letting us speak to him in the midst of a major tournament.

From an unbelievably talented team taht for us 101 points playing fantastic football .. it’s pretty hard to believe that Benson Zaroury Muric not good for the team .. Tella wouldn’t be worthy of a decent bid and allowed Maatsen and THB walk out the door too … I think perhaps VK put his managing credentials above this group which resulted in a huge fall from grace

Worth questioning. He started five games all season with four of them after we’d clinched promotion. The only game he started before promotion was at Millwall when he offered precious little.

Perhaps a poor choice of words on my behalf. I remember him playing a lot towards the end of the season and when not injured. 18 apps I think but as you say many from the bench.

But my broader point was that it’s an area I think we’ve strengthened as I think Ramsey has more pedigree at Championship level. I like Twine though, although I like anyone who can deliver a dead ball.

Unless some concrete evidence appears to the contrary I still believe it will be Bellamy by default as he is in situ and still remains the favourite with most bookmakers. Maybe for the opening dozen fixtures or so but the next couple of weeks will tell us more.

A really poor manager should be able to get that squad promoted and I see no reason why a good manager would not walk the league. The squad has been heavily invested in and in terms of value and potential it is way above the promotion squad.

The best players in the promotion squad were loan players and there is nothing to suggest we won’t be able to bring in a few loan players of similar standard this season.

The main reason for failure last year was the style of play against teams of higher quality than ours. It is incredibly hard to play at premier league level with a possession based team.

The experience of last season should stand a few of the players in good stead given the quality of some of the performances such as at Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool.

Been told that uefa have been at gawthorpe ( off someone who is there on a daily basis ) and are there to 'fast track' Bellamy through his pro license. So did a bit of googling and Bellamy was in the process of taking the pro license in september 2023. Llnk to interview here https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/foo ... wn-7795039

It takes 18 months to complete (see pic) so could be the reason for delay ??

Putting Bellamy in temporary charge whilst we search for a manager and whilst Bellamy finishes his badges.

Surely he would need pro licence to even be in interim charge

To be bloody hoped so given how much it’s cost. It’s nowhere near as good as the squad we went down with in 2022.

Not a single journalist or media outlet appear to have picked up on any prospective link between the manager of Denmark and the vacancy at Burnley. I very much doubt if we will learn any more before the match against Germany.

Giving the fact the Germany match is in 4 hours time it hardly takes a genius to think there won’t be any update about it

Not a single journalist or media outlet appear to have picked up on any prospective link between the manager of Denmark and the vacancy at Burnley. I very much doubt if we will learn any more before the match against Germany.
And that's how it should be, let him finish his tournament before the media circus starts.

Although I'm not sure the media are being kind, just we're not very newsworthy at the minute.

A far cry from when we appointed Laws. Sky sports news etc were camped outside the clubshop for days on end.

Why would we need to learn anything before the Denmark vs Germany match?

What concrete evidence can you point to of this supposed link other than a shortening of the odds on Sky Bet which appears to have happened following the post yesterday afternoon by CT?

There hasn’t been any concrete evidence to date and I am not expecting any prior to tonight’s game.
