If they’re the choices I’ll leave you to guess my preference.
So, an unknown entity from a foreign league v a man who has achieved 2 promotions from this division… I’ll be honest, I don’t know which one to guess…🤔🤔🤔🤔

What concrete evidence can you point to of this supposed link other than a shortening of the odds on Sky Bet which appears to have happened following the post yesterday afternoon by CT?

There hasn’t been any concrete evidence to date and I am not expecting any prior to tonight’s game.
Erm... okay?

To be bloody hoped so given how much it’s cost. It’s nowhere near as good as the squad we went down with in 2022.
No, but it is way younger and has the potential to be better if we appoint the right manager

I can’t agree with that - we lost Tarky, Mee, Pope & McNeil and I don’t think we’ve players close to them. And then there are those who have left since.

No Maatsen, no harwood-Bellis, no Barnes, no Cork, no Tella. That’s a decent start.

It wouldn’t happen but he got a tune out of that Everton team last season with 48 points won. Why on earth would anyone want to get rid?

Of course it’s my opinion, that’s why I posted it. I thought a lot of last summer’s signings worsened the side and that, along with the ridiculous tactical plan, led to an embarrassingly bad season.

It's not, as you say it's stronger. Just needs managing properly and will be helped with the significantly lower level of football. Most can see this

I loved the first 3 who were outstanding for us, but the all had limitations. They were great but they had reached their ceiling in terms of ability. McNeil I agree, although both Koleosho and Odobert both have the potential to reach those levels. Although we might miss others who have left in the dressing room, I wouldn’t have any of them back on the pitch.

It's the same posters now saying we've got a much stronger squad and any old chump will win promotion with it that were suggesting top half finishes were on the cards last season.

It's easy to get carried away with a load of young players from foreign leagues until you realise what happens when that's all you have. You get a season like we've just had.

Get the feeling that there's a real veneration of the 'old guard' from certain posters but truth is they were getting older and we've replaced them with technically better and younger players with real potential to grow. I'm glad to have seen it to be honest.

At least those three who have reached their ceilings will be playing Premier League football again next season. I accept Ben is in the twilight of his career but not the other two.

Agree some horrendous signings last summer. However with a few key signings (left back, strikers) we should have a strong enough squad to challenge. And obviously with the right manager in place.

They are 31 and 32 and have been very good premier league players. I would expect some of our young keepers and defenders to also go on to have similar success

It's certainly a much weaker league but I still think you need a lot of good characters and leaders if you want to get promotion out of it.

With the young players we signed, they have developed a nasty habit of just giving up when things get hard. That will be very difficult to unpick whatever league they play in and I believe it will take an experienced manager to sort it out if we're to be successful.

He is either a brilliant interviewer or has a great agent.

Promotion from League One with Swansea, gets Premier League Wigan job.

Relegates Wigan, gets Everton job at a time when Everton had a decent team and spending money.

Fails at Everton and gets Belgium job with their golden generation of players.

Fails at Belgium and gets the Portugal squad with the unbelievable squad that they have.

Giving the fact the Germany match is in 4 hours time it hardly takes a genius to think there won’t be any update about it
Perhaps the reason that there won’t be any update about it is because there are, as yet, no concrete links or evidence to support it other than a shortening of the odds on Sky Bet. Prior to the linking of Hjulmund posters on here rubbished betting markets as a reliable guide saying even a few £20 bets can distort it, but are now scrambling to hang their hat on it.
Current odds are 6/5 Hjulmund and 6/4 Bellamy according to William Hill. I would have expected the odds against Bellamy to drift far more than that if the Hjulmund link had any real substance.

Just talked to a couple of journos from Jyllands-Posten about Kasper Hjulmand here in Dortmund. They p!ssed themselves laughing when I mentioned Kasper being the Burnley manager, they compared with it Southgate being the manger of Bromley.
The feeling here is that Denmark could turn the Germans over.
Interestingly most of the press I have talked to tonight think a small country will win the Euros a repeat of the unexpected Greece win some years ago - Austria being very widely tipped.

Got Swansea promoted and finished 8th in their first Championship season.

Kept Wigan up for 3 years and won them an FA Cup.

Got Everton to finish 5th in the Premier League in his first season there.

These achievement, that for some reason you left out, are probably the reasons that have prompted numerous teams to employ him.

Maybe not but I do not believe we have players in our squad who will ever be as good as they have been
But on the flip side of that Tony we've got better players currently in the squad compared to say 15/20 years ago. But that agenda doesn't suit the old guard that want to return to " high hoof , low talent" football ...........some very bitter posters that are quickly forgetting our last foray in the championship and only concentrating on the car crash of last season.

Our last foray into the Championship and the car crash of last season featured two very different sets of players.

This coming season will feature even fewer of the players that were with us in the 22/23 season.

If posters are concentrating on the car crash of last season, it's not because of bitterness, it's because that's all we have to judge most of our players on.

What’s 15/20 years got to do with it?

Tarks Cork Pope Mc Neill … they all suited the style Dyche wanted to play. None of them would have got into our championship winning team under Kompany.

just been asking a Danish guy about Kasper Hjumland - he said "He is very much looking for a payday, good coach for the most part however the Danes fell flat on their face at the World Cup and when the press asked him why things went so poorly he refused to come out with a straightforward answer". I then asked if he thought he would leave the national team after this Euros and he said "It's very possible he will leave. If we beat Germany then the Danish FA might want to try and keep him for the next World Cup but there is no way they can complete with Burnley on salary"
