Probably given a 4 year deal by Pace.RicardoMontalban wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 9:17 pmDoubt it. If he’s been asked to step in temporarily then it’ll be a rolling short term contract, I’d expect.

Could do a lot worse. But I'm not even sure the club know who is coming in.

He’s on a four year contract circa £750k per year, he’s only had a recent change of duties which you’d imagine would be an additional’bonus’ to his salary .RicardoMontalban wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 9:17 pmDoubt it. Are we certain of that? Reports suggest that for all intents and purposes Bellamy had left the club, and was then asked back on an interim basis. Was he just reinstated on his old contract, or was this a new rolling arrangement? I suspect none of us can be certain of those details.Holtyclaret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 5:33 amHe’s on a four year contract circa £750k per year, he’s only had a recent change of duties which you’d imagine would be an additional’bonus’ to his salary .

Re: Next manager
Fair enough. I don't personally see being called head coach as denigrating his abilities/talent. He is best described as a leader and is someone who could do either role.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2024 3:37 pmFor me it was an interview he did where he said he spent 12 months planning before taking over at Denmark, just lead me to think he’s the one fully in control and not just the head coach. Maybe because he’s slightly older makes me feel like he’s more of a manager. Could be totally wrong and from your post looks like I may have miss read him

No we can’t be certain but I’m guessing folk are taking the ‘left the club’ too literally. He probably went home for a few days. I’m sure he’ll still be contracted.RicardoMontalban wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 6:04 amAre we certain of that? Either way I doubt we push for compensation, we either make him manager/head coach and he stays, or we don’t and he leaves anyway.

Re: Next manager
For me it’s about who I “don’t” want as manager, if the club appoint someone other then that I’m prepared to accept that and see how the bloke does.
Re: Next manager
And if the wrong man gets it, you are not prepared to accept it and will not wait to see how the bloke does? So what do you do? Potentially. I’ve considered that any news will probably break when I’m out which I am for a short time this afternoon. But I’ve a hospital appointment this Thursday afternoon so I’m expecting something then.burnley007 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 6:46 amI reckon today will be a big news day for us.

Kompany formally left on 29th May which is 34 days ago but we’d known for probably more than a week before that.

Irregardless of what any of us are doing on this thread. I do think Burnley will still appoint a manager and announce it.

You should post some fake appointment times on here so that BFC don’t do it on purposeClaretTony wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 10:19 amNo but I just suspect there will be big news when I’m not around.

I just have a feeling it’ll drag on a week or two yet.

Well he's spent a lot of time here the last few seasons and should know the place like the back of his hand, lives locally too
Perhaps it was a bedding in period

I’ve always been in the “trust the process” camp. Im now starting to become very worried. We’re not leaving much time for the new manager to come in, get their ideas across to the team, while overseeing a transfer window.

Re: Next manager
We are also putting a lot of faith in an interim manager in being able to get the squad up to the level of fitness a new manager might require.
I seriously doubt the players are as motivated as they usually would be if they had a manager for a gruelling pre season. They have nobody to impress.

I would hope they're trying to impress the coaches they're still paid to put the effort in. When the Head Coach arrives, I'm pretty sure he'll be asking his other coaches for feedback on the players.Goliath wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 12:51 pmWe are also putting a lot of faith in an interim manager in being able to get the squad up to the level of fitness a new manager might require.

Have we seen any images from pre season from the club in the last week or so.? I know a few were released early last week on the first couple of days back but not aware of any since. Havent seen any at all of the keepers ?Goliath wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 12:51 pmWe are also putting a lot of faith in an interim manager in being able to get the squad up to the level of fitness a new manager might require.
