We'll be lucky to get someone who works at the Copacabana

His name was Zola, he was a showman

Wearing a grey cardigan he puts his fingers through his hair.

We’re talking about our next manager, right? :x

This is beyond a joke now. Players leaving or wanting to leave on a daily basis. When, if ever, are they going to announce a new manager?
Time to get a grip perhaps?

Taylor, cork, BPF and jbg have left.

Rumours about Traff, Muric, Vignouroux, twine and o Shea .

They’ll be 10-15 leaving and a few coming in. We’ve 40 ish first team players as it stands.

Interim management in charge, international players not back for a while.

Head coach search nearing end you’d imagine. It was always going to take a little longer during season break and major tournament and if it yields the right man it’s worth it.

It’ll be reet UTC

You are correct we’ve known about this for a little while now. Going off last seasons debacle the board should have had a shortlist drawn up to replace blockhead anyway.

And some a lot longer and Watford have probably had 3 in last 6 weeks!

I once had 4 interviews over several months for a catering manager position, a thorough process takes time and generally gets a better fit when an appointment is made.

I’m sure we’re close and I’m sure there’s a lot going on we’re unaware of.

In the meantime I’m also sure cb and mj are more than capable of running pre season and advising as required.

But I'll take him as the manager.

Yes, it’s a different world now.

My son has a friend who plays for a club academy at national league level. Today he was showing him the 16 page booklet of his personalised training plan that he has to take with him and complete in Florida! So I dread to think what we give our first team players.

To be fair we don't have a clue what individual players will think. How about the fact he has 2 promotions under his belt? They could equally be thinking of that.

So, with 2 clubs, both with better squads than the rest of the division, he came 2nd and play offs. I'm not sure that's particularly impressive, especially with happened after those promotions.

I would find it very difficult to back Parker as manager. I would also lose a considerable amount of respect for Pace and his board if they appoint him after 5 weeks.

Well, I dunno.

I’ll measure Parker (or whoever it is) not on how they fare in the premier league but how they fare in the championship because that’s the challenge that faces them initially.

101 points, 3 games lost, 87 goals scored is the benchmark. I’m not sure Parker’s more pragmatic style will get anywhere near that kind of result.

If we then go up I’ll judge him against how he fares in the premier league, which I agree is a much lower bar.

Parker got two teams promoted from the Championship. Did cr*p in the Premier League. VK got one team promoted and did really cr*p in the Premier League. We need a manager who knows the Championship imo.

101 points is some benchmark. I think even a better manager could struggle to get that, but end up doing better in the Prem if we were to go up. Be nice to get this sewn up this week though and get into the transfer window.

Fair enough, we don’t do this is my opinion vs fact. I think they will be thinking “who?”.

I am massively, massively shocked at this. Really struggling to believe this is a Pace hire, couldn’t be further away from Kompany in my view.

I don’t think it’s fair to say that’s the benchmark. Whoever takes over has a squad that is nowhere near what we had.
