I’m rooting for Austria later to upset Turkey. Austria and Switzerland are yet to peak at this tournament.

Good goal to make it 3-0 by Malen, who inexplicably celebrated by running to the Romanian fans whilst hitting himself under the chin.

Has McCoist got so fed up with his new commentator partner that he is now happy to interview players after the game. Just watched the Gakpo interview just now

Only one team It after 20 minutes of Romanian domination so 3-0 was a bit of a let off overall for them.

Well played the Dutch and they must be a threat to the other teams left in the competition.

I've been sat in front of the TV with my face painted with the red cross in all the 4 games , getting all excited in the build up. I've ended up feeling so low at the performances.
The equaliser was a shock and scoring again so soon after it was unbelievable. I wish I could think this is where it changes but I dont
Yeah. Let's see. You've gone for a Switzerland win. I thought we were out in the last game so you might be right.

Come on Turkey. But why are they in white and Austria in Red ? Always thought Austria was White shirts black shorts and Turkey was red shirts.

The England players look like plodding cart horses compared to these two teams.

It happens quite often now that professional footballers can't manage to get corner kick beyond the first man.

Some of you might remember who are well into their footy, but does anybody remember Turkey being a pretty decent side because of players they had for Anderlecht and Standard Liege?

Late 90s / early 2000s, I used to watch some of their football and both clubs had some really good players.

England v Turkey in the semis would be interesting. The FA and the German old bill probably praying for any other game. Even if the England support is nothing like it was in the 80s/90s.

That’s one of the best saves I’ve seen I think. Given the zippy pitch, free header 5 yards out, into the floor… wow.

UEFA must rate English officials better than they are considered by English fans.
Germany v Spain will be refereed by Anthony Taylor and France v Portugal will be refereed by Michael Oliver. These two will have refereed 7 of the 46 games played.
The officials for the other two games have not yet been announced.

Talk of Southgate changing his game plan against Switzerland with 3 central defenders, players playing on their right side and Foden and Bellingham working together behind Kane. I like the sound of this, even if we get beat the football should be better to watch.
I may even change my forecast of a Swiss win

He should have listened to me before the euros, this is exactly the system I said at the beginning.
Certain reports saying Trippier left wing back with TAA right wing back some saying Saka left wing back with Trippier right wing back which both are wrong Trippier needs dropping with Saka and TAA as wing backs

Problem being if Southgate plays 3 central defenders he is just as likely to play 2 full back alongside them and just have a flat back 5 rather than wing backs.

For the record England have won 19 of the 27 games against Switzerland , drawing 5. They haven't tasted defeat against them since a World Cup qualifier in 1981.
In other words they have a superb record against the Swiss

Certainly now a very lopsided draw.

At the start of the tournament England were the favourites but the next 4 countries listed in the betting were the 4 playing each other today.

Fancy Germany tonight. Spain have been the best side but not really tested, particularly defensively. Georgia got spanked eventually but they still had a fair few chances. Should be a great game
