Re: ARTICLE: Parker pens deal with the Clarets
I have got no issue with this appointment. Put it this way, we could have done a lot worse. Welcome Scotty.

Welcome to Burnley, a town famed for friendliness and welcoming people. Here's my full support.
Re: ARTICLE: Parker pens deal with the Clarets
Just half listened to the interview whilst watching the Euros and I'm sure he said something about Vincent and Craig leaning on him when they got the job two years ago? That's pretty random, if so, but likely I've misheard!

At least this has now been sorted and the club can crack on with a manager. Good luck.

He mentioned Vincent and Craig. I don't recall the verb 'leaning', although he may have used it. Came over well.

Re: ARTICLE: Parker pens deal with the Clarets
Really pleased that Jackson and Bellamy are here, that should give him a massive head start in learning about the players and their abilities etc. I just hope the football is entertaining whilst being effective (and that would apply to whoever got the job). Good luck to him and Jensen

I’ve said it previously. He wouldn’t have been my first choice but then I haven’t had the opportunity to meet and interview him to make those judgements. But he’s got my full support.

We were getting to the point where we desperately needed somebody and tbf, although not my first choice, we could have done a whole lot worse. He'll have my full backing, but as others have said, with the squad we potentially have available, promotion really is an expectation. We'll see!

Cornet wouldn’t make any sense . High wage you’d suspect

Dreadful, isn't it? Just so poor. We all make typos but these things should be checked over and over.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2024 10:29 pmNot as bad as the one when Sambo signed and the graphic read: UP TO CLARETS.

Re: ARTICLE: Parker pens deal with the Clarets
It’s not the lad from Caen is it, I thought he was a 6ft 4 striker not a winger.
Is jadon Antony back at Bournemouth or did he move to Leeds perm, I remember him playing well under Parker at Bournemouth
Re: ARTICLE: Parker pens deal with the Clarets
Has that been confirmed? Are they staying? Would be great if they are.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2024 10:21 pmReally pleased that Jackson and Bellamy are here, that should give him a massive head start in learning about the players and their abilities etc. I just hope the football is entertaining whilst being effective (and that would apply to whoever got the job). Yeah I watched to, you’d imagine along with Jensen there will be Bellamy and Jackson but you’d expect a couple of coaches and data staff to come with him to

It would have been nice to get him in the building a few weeks sooner if this is who they wanted all along.
Still, he's here now and I wish him all the best.

Re: ARTICLE: Parker pens deal with the Clarets
Did anybody else pick up on the question regarding when he got the call?
His answer was that he was away on a family holiday and got a flight back for his 'first' interview.
Was this the flight he got pictured queueing for this week?
Seems odd if the club took so long to interview him then decided instantly.
