I thought VK and Bellamy were really good mates and VK was helping Bellamy through his troubles, part of that was keeping him employed both previously and at Burnley. Anyone know what went so wrong that they’ve become almost estranged.
Tony using his platform to smut Kompanys name with vicious rumours because he didn’t like Kompany.

I’ve been told first hand that Bellamy and Kompany remain good friends, Bellamy didn’t want to relocate to become an assistant and preferably wanted to become the main manager.

So you're just going to ignore everything thats staring you in the face and come up with your own theory?
Until either Kompany or Bellamy comes out and says they have fallen out and no longer friends, this is just a rumour and nothing else.

What i also find funny about this rumour is if VK did indeed sack Bellamy before the season ended, why did he continue to work some kind of notice.

When you are sacked, you are straight out the door.

Also, i think there was absolutely no chance of Bellamy going to Germany. I am sure he has previously stated in the past that being out of the UK was detrimental to his mental health being away from his family and that was the reason he left Belgium.

Hahaha. Imagine that. Kompany coming out in an interview and saying 'Craig and I aren't friends anymore I thought you'd all like to know.'

Will we be bringing in anyone to replace him on the staff?
I would also be interested to know that.

Or will he promote from within?

No idea. Ive no insider info I'm just not ignoring the obvious truth. Maybe to protect Bellamys already questionable reputation? Maybe so we didn't attract negative headlines when we were already being relegated? It was the sensible decision to get through to the end of the season.

KRBFC, was it VK or CB who gave you the first hand information that Bellamy and Kompany remain good friends?

Absolutely loving the wet dream fantasy that one of Kompany or Bellamy have been chatting with KRBFC and tell him they're still good mates.

Hilarious lies.

On Burnley: “ From the first moment I walked into the training ground at Burnley…I knew it was the right club for me and I have loved every moment since.

"The relationships I have with Alan, JJ and all the people at the club, in every department, made my time at Burnley special and leaving a truly difficult decision. But the chance to be the manager, of Wales, my country, has always been a dream that has never left me and a chance I just couldn’t turn down.

"I wish Scotty all the very best, he’s a good person and a close friend and the club is in great hands.

"To all the Burnley fans that made me feel so welcome – thank you and I’ll see you again soon! Belluz."

I've already explained all this before. My take on what actually happened leading to bellamys departure & subsequent return. I don't subscribe to the notion that kompany & bellamy had a disagreement of any description despite the narrative that's being pushed by certain quarters.

I don’t get why you are arguing this too many people are saying the same thing for there not to be some truth in them having some sort of falling out. You are of course entitled to you opinion but it doesn’t really matter either way now.

It’s not an argument I certainly wouldn’t describe as 1. It’s no surprise lots of people are all saying the same thing some people could feel bitter & resentful about the man & to be fair I wouldn’t blame them after backing him last season expecting him to reproduce again this season & him suddenly leaving. It’s funny the season before last the title winning 1 nobody had a bad word to say about him when he was the flavour of the month & now all this. It’s strange that there doesn’t appear to be any consistency.

You aren't really surprised by this are you ?

He takes the contrary position on pretty much everything so others engage with him. If Bellamy or Kompany came out and said exactly that happened he would accuse them of making things up. Only Simon Jordan could convince him

Sorry probably wrong choice of word I didn’t mean argue in the sense you took it I meant more about a discussion topic.

I get what you are saying that there is some resentment towards Kompany by a few posters but this isn’t really about Kompany it is about Bellamies and Kompanies relationship and anyway I hold no resentment towards him and I believe it. My real point is this has been discussed by more than just people on here, the press, podcasts, other boards, X etc have all had discussions about it there has to be some truth in it.

Anyway have a good day

It's questionable itself that their relationship is estranged there's no evidence to support that view in the same way that they are best chums. At this moment in time apart from the 2 men & maybe a handful of other close confidants nobody really knows.
You can argue it as much as you like but the relationship broke down and Bellamy was going through the door

Always acknowledged him when out walking the Dog down Gawthorpe and he reciprocated with a laugh or two. Part of the team giving us a fantastic season and you felt for sure he wasn't a fan of VK's insistence of sticking to a losing formula last season.

I wish him all the best in his new role.

Well I don’t have a platform, but I don’t like Kompany or the negative impact he’s had on our club.

I think the same, and have heard the same as Tony as early as pre Christmas. Am I too a liar and spreading vicious rumours?

I have not posted anything that to smut (whatever smut is) anyone’s name. What I’ve posted is fact. If you choose not to believe or accept that then fine but I’m not putting up with the nonsense you have posted above.

Still on speaking terms anyway. From guardian:

But the appeal of Wales was too strong. “It hasn’t left me,” he says. “I spoke to Vincent for about an hour yesterday, and he said: ‘I knew this was the one job I could lose you to.’ He’d never said that to me, but he felt in the time we worked together it was the role he knew he wouldn’t be able to talk me out of.

Doesn’t seem to be much of a falling out to me.

A bit strange to be ringing him up considering Bellamy couldn't get away quick enough (allegedly) while Kompany was here and couldn't get back in quick enough when he left.

I'd guess that this means relations have thawed a bit now they are out of that environment. I imagine losing every week didn't bring out the best traits of either of them.

What intrigues me about the Kompany / Bellamy dynamics relates back to that CEO interview with Lampard who was talking about the manager having to deal with dissent from players in the Premier League and that being a tough skill to master.

I suspect with our bad form pre Christmas the coaches and players were all trying to complain about things (e.g. me speculating, the playing it out from the back). I have a theory that the lack of top managers who were ex elite players is due to them struggling to accept this kind of open debate in their squads, they are all a bit narcissistic by nature. Which could lead to a temporary falling out with a few people in the kind of situation we were in.

Don’t know if that was the case but it feels plausible and also feels like a risk of hiring ex elite players, Parker being another one, one who has already fallen out to a degree with some of the clubs he has managed. One to keep an eye on.

With the greatest of respect but people are coming across a bit thick on here.

It's possible that they've made up to a degree, they're adults that doesn't make any "guesses" incorrect.

Weirdly enough people are trying to jump to find reasons to show that no bust up happened, but cannot explain why a new assistant was hired and the timing of it.

I've not guessed anything. I'm just relying on information from people who have a lot more knowledge of these things than me.

If you really think CT has randomly decided to make up a cock and bull story about Kompany and Bellamy having a disagreement then that's your perogative.

I imagine it is more people hearing rumours and blowing them up into something that is far more sensational than the truth.

I've not guessed anything. I'm just relying on information from people who have a lot more knowledge of these things than me.

If you really think CT has randomly decided to make up a cock and bull story about Kompany and Bellamy having a disagreement then that's your perogative.
I know what I know and have made nothing up.

Does any of this really matter?
Not particularly. I was just responding to the previous poster.

I imagine it is more people hearing rumours and blowing them up into something that is far more sensational than the truth.
I think that’s spot on.

Much ado about nothing. Rumours, exaggeration, conjecture at best. :D
