There have been 3 gallerys of players at the training ground -
https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/con ... -june-2024
https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/con ... n-training
https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/con ... 12-07-2024

Every player has been in at least one picture over the past 3 weeks with a few exceptions:
Ramsey and Redmond - both have long term injuries
Wout and Amdouni - both at the Euros
Trafford and Muric - I assume both were due back on the 8th but the club haven't shown any pictures of the GKs training. Along those lines Vigouroux and Casper are shown in the 1st day back pictures but not in the most recent ones either so I don't know how much we can read into this.

This leaves Tresor the only player not pictured and with no explanation as to why. He wasn't on international duty so should have been back on the 24th.

Oh dear, another one in.

Nice edit, BTW

Maybe he’s just injured and missed the training days the photos were taken?

Maverick I know, and far more out there than beaching his contract by refusing to turn up for work.

I mean, what would he actually gain by not turning up? He’s not a top performing player who is the subject of lots of interest from bigger clubs and for whom refusing to train is the only way to engineer a move.

I think he would need to engineer a move if he wants one because we would have to eat a huge loss on him. No idea if it's the case, of course.

We’re already almost guaranteed to make a loss on him. Even a good season in the Championship (which seems unlikely given the number of players we have in his position), is unlikely to see us recoup what we’ve supposedly paid. He’d need to tear the division up for us to come close to making a profit.

I suspect the club are more than happy to loan him out or even sell him, unless Parker has been watching tape from Belgium and loves him. I don’t think he needs to go on strike to get what he wants. If he does actually want a move of course.

I don't expect it to happen but there's nothing to say he couldn't tear the division up and carry the form into the Premier League and be worth lots and lots of money. Right now selling him would mean accepting whatever a Belgian club can pay which would be I guess close to 100% loss.

He did play against Parker in his brief spell in charge of Cercle Brugge so I suppose he could be impressed by him.

Tresor is just part of the mess that the big Belgian bluffer has left us with and also trousered money from.
Parker has got a big job on his hands.
To be fair, Kompany has left us with a very strong squad in Championship terms. He's hardly left us in a mess on that front.

Send me a pic with him on since returning
He's still on leave after international duty, like Trafford.

What I mean by left us in a mess is that we have a bloated squad of wide players and midfielders. Parker will have a job on getting the squad trimmed down ready for a Championship campaign.
We can’t keep sending loads of players out on loan, we aren’t Chelsea.

Agreed he’s left us with too many players but the quality far out weighs most of the championship.

He should have been back over a week ago - never showed
Agent pushing for a move, which we now know today as Ipswich
I heard this direct from a player

How long has he been a Burnley player now?

Will he ever be good enough?
2 years. Signed in the summer of 22/23. And last year he had a bad injury.

He’s 19, so a bit of a strange question to ask whether he’ll ever be good enough?!

He looks a real talent to me, one to develop.

Signing everything yesterday moves is not a cohesive policy for a 'team'

There's no evidence that this team is very strong imo. All we know as a team is that they're not good enough to the PL.

There's some that have shown a lot of promise (Odo, Koleosho, some of the CBs in flashes) where's the transfer fee was reasonable and a good season or two and we'll make a profit on them.

There's a few established players where we know what we're getting, Cullen, Brownhill and Berge - two of which have been linked with moves away.

And then there's the expensive flops, Tresor being top of the list. Tresor and Trafford (To a lessor extent) just didn't make sense. Financially, they would have had to have amazing seasons, just to break even on them.

Whatever the answer is to reducing the loss of Tresor is I'm not sure. But personally I hope its away from BFC.

No evidence needed - just common sense.

At the time I thought Tresor was a brilliant signing. I've not seen enough to judge one way or another really, but if he really is missing without permission, would one of the Belgian journalists not picked up on it?
I have not seen anything from them.

That he is.

Saw on Instagram some posts that suggest he might be off to Belgium though (he was doing some private training sessions in Manchester - as a lot of our players have done this summer) and one of the posts mentioned him & Westerlo together.

If he is off, I hope it’s only on loan as he looks a player to me.
The post was him sharing private training of his brother, who is off to Belgium.

That's not to say Enock isn't going to be loaned out, but it also nearly caught me out too.

Ah right, thanks for that. I’m not so clever on social media.

I hope he’s staying personally.

A lot of good individuals does not always make a good squad or a team..... does the squad have functioning units that will clip together? Common values that they buy into etc?

Or is it just a bunch of very talented people.

Really hope Tresor stays and buckles down. He is definitely a talent but we need him to show it and become a star in a good championship team
