Yes, it's awful. Drumming up some fake emotion.TheFamilyCat wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 7:50 pmThis build up on BBC is painful. They should just start the programme 15 minutes before kick off.

Benefit of BBC is the UHD HDR broadcast on the Red button, albeit about 20 seconds behind live but worth it for the picture quality

Better
Re: Spain v England
Bellingham, Saka, Walker, good break.
Re: Spain v England
Not sure why so much is made of Pickford and his ability 'on the ball', making him a better choice, then a keeper with arms!
Not seen anything throughout the tournament, which says his long passing is accurate and his short passes are no different to anyone else.

Englands unpressed passing is diabolical.

The long ball to Kanes head;
A)He hasn’t won one.
B) If he does there is nobody around him

Bad pass from Kane to Shaw. Now he's got a yellow, hope Southgate will bring on Watkins asap.

Fair play to Luke Shaw, had he gone down there it would have been a penalty in this day and age. I’m glad he didn’t though

Kane is so slow.
Best he can do is tire the CBs out a bit and then get subbed, Shame, but he's done at this level.

I would've dropped him tbh. I know I know but he's like a snail. No press and isn't ever on the shoulder of the last nan.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2024 8:27 pmKane is so slow.

Re: Spain v England
That was a nasty kick in Rice’s ribs, lucky to be just a yellow
Re: Spain v England
Don't give away a stupid penalty.
Re: Spain v England
Should have been a Spain pen. Rice dragged Laporte down.

England playing with ten men at the minute.
Kane won’t stay in position, won’t press, won’t jump.

Re: Spain v England
A pretty even half. No real chances at either end.
Be brave, Gareth and hook your captain, who is offering nothing. That wasn’t anywhere near good enough from him.

Re: Spain v England
England doing OK containing a very good team but not offering much threat ourselves.
Re: Spain v England
Kane is struggling, also either Bellingham or Foden need to be taken off.

Re: Spain v England
Spain are a good team, but don't seem anything special.
If we use our heads and everyone does their jobs, we can do this.

Re: Spain v England
Kane is pedestrian, get some pace upfront!
Re: Spain v England
Kane is too far back, as everyone is saying. 10 yards further forward and they would worry more.
Distribution is good, which is why he goes deep but up front becomes very bare
He'll probably get a pen to claim the Penalty Golden Boot.

Re: Spain v England
Nice flick on by Bellingham there, presumably to Kane (who was five yards BEHIND Bellingham) this is crying out for Watkins.
Not so sure Gareth has the heuvos to take Kane off at half time.
Kane off, Watkins on, armband to stones.
Decent half all things considered…imagine if we had a mobile outlet up top?
