Boxed N64 can be worth plenty depending on the condition of the box and the game in question, Game Gear likewise. I am a big Sega, Sony and Nintendo retro collector.

I’m the same Jedi. Got some really nice stuff in my collection, just moving house and it’s all going in storage, it kills me!
Any gems in your collection? I’ve got a boxed virtual boy, sealed 20th anniversary PS4 console, Sega Multi Mega and a graded copy of Pokemon Yellow on the GB. My wife thinks I’m absolute nuts.

Re: Sinclair ZX Spectrum
The Multi Mega is definitely a holy grail for me! Yes, I had to box all of mine up when we moved my daughter to the bigger spare bedroom and needed a home office. It’s in about 25 boxes in the attic waiting for a bigger house!Jambounchained wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 7:50 amI’m the same Jedi. I have a near complete PAL Mega Drive and Saturn collection including the likes of Panzer Dragoon Saga, Shining Force 3 etc, same for Mega CD with Snatcher etc. They’re only ‘near complete’ at this point due to lots of games I have very limited interest in being what’s left - when I have space it’ll happen! I also only need Kolibri on the 32X. My PS1 collection is nowhere near complete but has most of the real rarities like Tron Bonne, Tomba, Suikoden etc. The game I don’t think I’ll ever find for anything approaching reasonable is a PAL Sonic Blast for the Game Gear. That’s ridiculously hard to find.

Re: Sinclair ZX Spectrum
Might be sad but I often go on YouTube and look for old 8 Bit games.. if you search for Longplay you can find full versions of the completed games. They were so hard I rarely completed any games as a kid so it’s always nice to see them completed without any of the hassle !

Re: Sinclair ZX Spectrum
Some absolutely amazing stuff there! Do you have that Chaotix game on the Mega CD? One of my grails that but I doubt I’ll ever grab it. The mega drive and game boy are the ones I collect most of. Probably got about 80 boxed MD games, nothing on the scale of yours that’s for sure!jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 7:59 amThe Multi Mega is definitely a holy grail for me! Re: Sinclair ZX Spectrum
I do indeed have Chaotix! In fact, a sad story, I once traded it at Electronics Boutique (as it was) in Rochdale along with my original 32X, Virtua Fighter, Metal Head and about 4 other games to buy GoldenEye on the N64 (and I still had to put a tenner or something towards it). Sickening! I started re-buying things lost from my childhood collection about 15 years ago, and went from there. I think I paid about £80 for second copy of Chaotix, worth considerably more now.Jambounchained wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 8:36 amSome absolutely amazing stuff there! Re: Sinclair ZX Spectrum
Sorry pal, forgot to reply to this! You did amazingly to get that Chaotix for that price. Also remembered I’ve got a Sega nomad, I’m doing a car boot this weekend with my wife - she picked it up “shall we take this as well”.jedi_master wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2024 11:09 amI do indeed have Chaotix! Re: Sinclair ZX Spectrum
I’m with you on this one. 464 plus was my favourite with BombJack, Football Director and Burnin rubber on a disk thingy.4:20 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 8:26 amI had an Amstrad CPC 464. Looking back, it was the lesser of the three when compared to the Speccy and Commodore but still gave me some great years gaming as a kid.
Bomb Jack, Footballer of the Year, almost anything by The Oliver Twins, Boulder Dash, Barbarian, Rock n Wrestling, Cauldron, Who Dares Wins 1 and 2 and Sorcery are the ones that stand out for me.

Haha! I haven’t got a Nomad, never even seen one to hold in fact. Very nice.Jambounchained wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 1:34 pmSorry pal, forgot to reply to this! Re: Sinclair ZX Spectrum
I find this a nifty little site to play ZX Spectrum games. Found quite a few I owned and still as enjoyable today..especially the footy management games.
Find your game and double click and it loads up the emulator and off you go. Saving your game seems an issue and the keys to play are very much trial and error but it's certainly nostalgic.

Re: Sinclair ZX Spectrum
You can find a lot of the old Spectrum games converted to PC. Lords of Midnight is a particular favourite of mine, but also still play games like Jet Set Willy and some of the old Firebird games (particularly The Wild Bunch) Some classics!

Re: Sinclair ZX Spectrum
I didn't like all the hype around the Sinclair 81- Spectrum and its dead flesh keyboard and so I got an Oric because of the superior sound production and better keys. Enjoyed some good games but there was never the same backing for the Oric for game development.
I remember being very frustrated playing the Hobbit quest "You enter the room and there is a key."
(me): "Pick up key"
Oric: Can't pick up the key"
(me) : GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
Eventually sold the Oric to someone in France where they were very popular.
