When we played Brentford at home the ball was spooning into the top corner of the net and Ivan Toney was running straight for the ball with Muric on his line (couldn't get any momentum because the ball was travelling so slowly). He stood there jumped and got absolutely clattered full pelt off Toney but again, put his body on the line for the cause - fully committed.
We didn't see anything of the like from Traff, anytime there was a potential of contact he shirked it and as for the 'shot stopping', the save %s speak for themself.
Top Trumps type of post:
Ability to stand up against Ivan Toney... It's Muric Whoopee.

He didn’t though did he. Amazing how some people try and rewrite history. It does make me wonder how many of these Trafford boo boys actually watched him play.
OH yes he did!...........He dithered with the ball at his feet & then gave a suicide pass to one hapless player after another, until our whole back four were left gibbering idiots...did the same to Cullen too.
OFF HIM!
I don't think i've ever been more frustrated as a Burnley fan than those first 28 games....Muric was like a breath of fresh air after that.

You know that where ever Trafford ends up next season certain posters will be all over this forum highlighting any mistake he makes and taking pleasure in doing so. Likewise any save muric makes will have the same result.
When the opposite happens it will be met with silence. The excusing of any mistake made by Muric is amusing. One thing you can say about trafford is he never asked to be subbed after making a mistake and then recover from the injury within an hour

As much as I think muric is better than Trafford, now muric has gone I couldn’t care one bit if he does well or not

Middlesbrough away was odd, looked like a panic attack or something. It is important that his frailties are ignored even though he doesn’t want to be a Burnley player anymore.
Time is a great healer and some will eventually move on from an unproven average keeper who did have the highest % saves for 10 PL games in which we beat 10 man Brentford and Sheffield United.

Do you really think Trafford wanted to play that way? It was obvious he was under strict instructions from our then stubborn arrogant manager.

For somebody who harps on about 'moving on', you don't half get yourself involved in these debates. In fact, you seem more obsessed than anybody. Maybe try heeding your own advice.

He may not have, but he forced others into mistakes by loitering on the ball and making some poor passes. Whether it's because he's still very young or down to his stature the main issue I could see is a lack of commanding his area which will always be exploited by opposition.
If you're not great at handling you at least need to be aggressive and be able to come out and punch like Pickford or Mamardashvili.
I think he was very lucky to get so much faith put into him by Kompany. He should learn from those bad times. I just don't really see any evidence to show his potential. I hope he proves me wrong!
I wouldn't call it lucky, more unlucky for him that Kompany chose not to take him out of the firing line.

I know you shouldn’t really take too much notice of YouTube reels……but Hladky does look to have a bit of the Lee Grants about him - pushing the ball back into the danger zone……
Maybe I’m being a bit unfair and the saves he made were very good and he did well to get anything on them.

Looks a solid signing and has proved he’s upto a top champ campaign . Good bit of business alround , we’ve made a few £ on Muric , got a replacement and his wages will be way less than Muric’s last season , though a hell of a lot more than if he’d returned to the lower reaches of the Czech leagues .

This is a reference to Thunderbirds character’Parker’ I’m guessing, but I don’t know if it’s meant as a slight to our Manager being a puppet or not?
I hadn't consider the slight to our manger angle, but now you mention it!!!
