Horse Racing snippets and bets for Saturday

Pity only 5 runners as I think over this trip Sons and Lovers is better than shown so far but although 14/1 (bet365) with only 2 places has stopped a small each way bet.


Newbury 2.25
Sleeping LIon was eye-catching last time but presume with a 105 day break there has been a issue - another watching brief and that's a shame as skybet going 10/ 1 and 4 places.


Ripon 4.30
Master Zoffany has slipped to a real nice mark now and at 20/1 and 4 places at bet365 could run well or alternatively might need a return to Chester.


Newbury 4.45
The trip is sure to suit Fior Di Bosco who although was well beaten last time looks a lovely horse in the making - another 16/1 shot and if anyone was going 4 places might have been worth chucking into small each ways - possible a dark one this one.


Ripon 5.05
1st bet for me - Gis A Sub - hard to think this horse was 2nd in a Gimcrack !!! Dropped to a really good mark and grade and a 3lb claimer to boot this horse has to run well. Bet365 a standout 6/1 but 4 places - solid each way bet.


Newmarket 6.35
2nd bet for me - Mistral Star - if this horse settles must run well as the run last time was really eye-catching and shows the horse has a engine. Again Bet365 standout 8/1 and 4 places.


Summary
Some nice big priced horses to keep tabs on tomorrow and 3 bets for me :

2 Each Way singles on Gis A Sub and Mistral Star and a Each Way double.

MORNING UPDATE - About same price as last night around 12/1 - small runner race it is what it is unfortunately.

MORNING UPDATE - This looks a float up after the 105 day layoff as a big drifter out to 22/1.

Thanks claretkid Mistral Star was impressive to me, Master Zoffany 20/1 beaten a head and 1/2l 3rd at 15/2 and bet365 was 4 places - only disappointment was Sleeping LIon but as on the update massive drifter this morning nevertheless was tailed off - maybe what has kept the horse off 105 days has reared up again under the pressures of a horse race ?
