Just talked to Ticket office. They say Platinum members can buy on Monday and Season ticket holders with 2000 points on Tuesday.

Are they actually going to tell us there is a delay?
Not sure why there needs to be with a reserved number for those members.

I still don't see an away games section on the Ticket Site, or is there another way to access away games?

We’re yet to be told if they are on sale today
Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
Think it's Platinum members today and with 2000 points tomorrow. But I could be wrong, as you say, nothing from the Club yet!
Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
I've just spoken to the ticket office and luton tickets are on sale to platinum members today, and go on sale to people with 2K loyalty points tomorrow - tuesday 23rd July.

Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
I've now updated the article - we now have the allocation, sale dates and points required.
I spent ages getting into the ticket office system and eventually got in to find I couldn't buy any tickets.
Shocking lack of communication again.

Not according to the ticketing site information - should be first season ticket holder sales today. Nightmare trying to get into the ticketing site too.

Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
Sorry but why should the “platinum members” have priority ahead of the first wave of STH?

Because that's the deal. The club charges £150 for Platinum membership. It gives first priority for 2 away tickets. It also gives opportunity to buy 4 home tickets at full price - if there are any available. What Platinum membership doesn't get you is cheap tickets.
Last season, Premier League, sikilar membership cost £250. Again, just to have first priority, but no discounted prices.

Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
You’d think that apart from Luton and possibly Oxford the Platinum Members don’t gain any real advantage over STH for away tickets in The Championship.
As you say Pete … right or wrong.
Do we know how many Platinum members we have.
Asking for a friend.

No Col, I don't know. The Club have never made public that infoFlixtonclaret1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 10:57 amYou’d think that apart from Luton and possibly Oxford the Platinum Members don’t gain any real advantage over STH for away tickets in The Championship.

Paul - I'm not aware that home tickets can't be purchased at concession prices.Paul Waine wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 10:54 amBecause that's the deal. The club charges £150 for Platinum membership. Tickets aren't guaranteed, as they only have a small allocation. It's on a first come first served badis.

Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
I'm referencing the price per game with a season ticket against the price per game for platinum membership.
Spend, let's take £300+ quoted above on ST and get access to 23 home games. Or, pay £150 and get right to buy tickets for games. And, as noted above, perhaps only Luton and Oxford are games when away tickets will sell out. (I'd add Ewood to those games, I hope).
The club is serving an additional market with membership schemes, just like many other clubs do.

Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
I’m no fan of the platinum membership scheme and the sense that it means you can pay extra to jump the queue BUT I do wonder if it is perhaps aimed at southern based fans ie for whom it would not make sense to get a home season ticket but who go to lots of games down south. Almost like an away season ticket (the cost would be similar by the time you’ve paid the membership fee plus the ticket cost for individual matches). Not saying that is necessarily the right way to go but it does potentially make (a bit) more sense to me if looked at in that way.

I’m not against it. Like you says it’ll be mainly aimed at those that don’t have a season ticket.RHansburyEsq wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 11:40 amI’m no fan of the platinum membership scheme and the sense that it means you can pay extra to jump the queue BUT I do wonder if it is perhaps aimed at southern based fans ie for whom it would not make sense to get a home season ticket but who go to lots of games down south. My issue with it is that they have priority over existing “top level” STH with 2000+ points
They should be available to both at the same time

Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
I'm a Platinum member and it's great for me. It's 4 hours to Turf Moor from home (and 30 minutes to Luton and Oxford) and I'm too old to travel to and back in a day (though not old enough to get an OAP ticket). A trip with the wife costs me £400 including overnight hotel, tickets etc. I struggle to fit the games in, so only managed I think 7 home games last season. I stopped having a season ticket in 2019.
I'm surprised and feel lucky to be able to "jump the queue" for away tickets for only £125 over a "standard" membership. I can see the arguments for and against this. Let's see how many games are popular. It may have been a complete waste of money!
I've already posted that the queueing system was in operation at 9:30 this morning for a 10:00 release, which is totally over the top. I'm sure this works well for Taylor Swift! I got an email notifying me of the priority period at 10:15. Printed tickets and no seat selection.
A couple of observations from last season - there were usually about 70-80 seats blocked out before I got access. Possibly Foundation and Supporters groups? I think there were about 100-150 premium members. You'd think that there would be less demand this season, but it's cheaper, so who knows? I don't believe that the 10% of tickets restriction is actively managed, rather a simple "there's only a hundred of them so it's highly unlikely they'll buy too many" approach. That's just my opinion.

Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
But that way they only get priority for a day and 200 tickets might get released back into the pot?
10% of a 3k allocation =300. If they only sell 100 on the first day then 200 should be released.
Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
I haven't read anything which indicates that they only have 1 day in which to apply for tickets.I would have thought that it's a similar situation to say those with 2000 points, whereby they can apply for tickets at anytime after the 2000 points priority period.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 2:31 pmBut that way they only get priority for a day and 200 tickets might get released back into the pot?

Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
Yes I agree with that, but if those with 2k+ points snapped all the tickets up on the 2nd day they would miss out.Leisure wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 2:36 pmI haven't read anything which indicates that they only have 1 day in which to apply for tickets.I would have thought that it's a similar situation to say those with 2000 points, whereby they can apply for tickets at anytime after the 2000 points priority period.
Or do you think they hold back 10% back for a few days?
Last season them in corporate could get away tickets two weeks before they went on sale on the Monday.
Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
No idea just how long they hold back the 10%. Possibly until they feel that there's no more demand for them??Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 2:54 pmYes I agree with that, but if those with 2k+ points snapped all the tickets up on the 2nd day they would miss out.

Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
Are we predicting a scramble for tickets in the morning or could the allocation reach a few loyalty points thresholds down. I’ll be logged on at 9.30am but will be interesting to see the overall interest.

You don’t just get the one day to buy your ticket that you points allocation allows.Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2024 2:31 pmBut that way they only get priority for a day and 200 tickets might get released back into the pot?

The Platinum Members should have upto the day of general sale to buy the 10%. Whatever’s left over then goes to general sale
Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
Can't see there being the same level of demand as last season but it's the 1st game, so who knows?
Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
Monday night on TV will put a few off. Pretty sure we'll sell out but can't see a mad scramble.
Re: 2024/25: Luton Town v Burnley – Ticket Information
The foundation has definitely had priority for a pool of away tickets for donkey's years. It's not really clear why people have only started getting het up about this kind of thing now, maybe it is just that it is better publicised.
