Yes the collar is a little bit incongruous, I would have liked it as same as the sleeve.

Coal = black shirt. Not sure where the pink comes from. They don't half come up with some shite. Mining isn't even the industry we're most famous for.

Edit: I don't mind the shirt BTW, just find the "back story" a bit unnecessary and very tenuous.
Almost as if there isn’t a miners club that most people go for a drink before match day.

But never mind let’s have a moan about an actual smart shirt for once

Looks good apart from the collar.

What is its relevance to our heritage? The collar, that is.

The neckline looks like a heavy chavvy silver necklace imo, all you'll need is an XL Bully and be selling 3 bags for 50 innit 😂

Can anyone tell me what the sizing/fit of the new Castore shirts are like, please?

Was the Bee Hole end not named after Bee Hole colliery. Sure this is the mining connection. Shirt looks great.

The club and the owners get a lot of stick on here but I think this strip and how its design is rooted in the towns history shows they really do get Burnley and as an added bonus it looks great as well.

Full marks to Mr Pace on this one and hopefully the club could send one to the Burnley Miners club to frame and hang on their wall. Sends shivers down your spine just thinking of that kit paying homage to our towns history hanging in the Miners club.

Great question.

Have you seen the reveal marketing? It stands out as an unconventional collar. I wondered if there was some relevance because it looks naff.

Thanks for answering my question.

My guess is that the collar design is based on the shape of the teeth on a coal cutting machine

Every kit in modern football seems to be paying homage or reflecting something from club or towns history. Nobody is going to look at the shirt and think ‘oh aye yes Burnley’s mining history’.

It’s still a nice shirt though

Really like the new kits so far! Deffo on a par with 2 seasons ago in my opinion. Hopefully the quality of the kits is directly correlated to performance on the pitch because last seasons shirts were shoite!! 😂

Not to my taste, don’t like black football tops in general but doubt it’s aimed at my age group.
This one looks to me like it’s been washed with a red T shirt by mistake. Appreciate the sentiment behind it though.
