Disagreeing with you? Just stating my opinion. Thought you were all for free speech?Rowls wrote: ↑Wed Jul 24, 2024 1:59 pmI know you enjoy disagreeing with me but I was only pointing out the lad's potential. These things don't mean nothing, they are only indicators that might mean something, as I've explained elsewhere on this thread.
I was impressed with his performance at Shrewsbury but it was only one game against a lower league side.
Besides which, he's apparently off to Huddersfield.

Still the best winger at the club, despite the plethora that Kompany splurged a fortune on.

Anyway Secret Squirrel filmed Benson’s goal and posted it for all to see.

Re: Friendlies
Love Benson and delighted to see him seemingly fully reintegrated. One of my biggest hopes with the managerial change was having Benson and Zaroury back in the fold for the Championship. They are superb players at that level when they are being trusted.

I don't know why it's so cloak and dagger from us. On their feed you can see vitiniho, esteve, Brownhill and Cullen played.

Re: Friendlies
I wonder if Benson started on the right and all the front 4 were changed?
Re: Friendlies
Just a guess... But I think this is the first proper game, all the others have been different format games, banned players etc, but they've put a full report out on this game.

Re: Friendlies
Positives:
- Koleosho and Odobert both played
- Foster played
- O’Shea and Esteve at the back
- We don’t seem to be conceding many at all in pre-season and so Parker has potentially got us in a less aggressive defensive shape
Negatives:
- Hladky should not be conceding that at his near post
- No Trafford, Tresor or Berge
- We don’t seem to be scoring in pre-season either. One thing we were decent at last season is getting in front. Wonder whether we’re now seeing a better defensive set up but creating less chances
Yes, I know it was a training game and all about fitness, etc, etc.

Bit confused - thought the score was 0-0?

it's dogcrap defending, they weren't close to a single man. If it's zonal marking we are in trouble

Re: Friendlies
only in your head. If you think that defending was good then have at it, as the club don't post anything that's all we have to go off. I assume you think practice doesn't matter as wellclaretskeith wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2024 7:33 pmThat is some serious overreaction to a few seconds in a friendly, to be fair.
