No worries.
Buddy Holly and the Crickets.
Tony's missing apostrophe opened up this possibility.

Re: Padiham FC Thread
Poor result yesterday, Padiham should of been out of sight, Litherland were very poor.
Thought there would be a lot more on than 273, was over 500 every game towards the the end of last season.
Bury at home on Tuesday whose fans caused a lot of trouble yesterday and Squires Gate. The chairman has put a video on about it in Burys socials. Another stadium ban maybe for them ? They had one for 2 games last season.

Tickets go off sale at 5pm.
There's a cash/card turnstile if all tickets haven't been sold. There will be a link to ticket site on their twitter account.
Entering the ground at 7pm should be fine.

Re: Padiham FC Thread
There seem to factions within factions, there main focus seems to be falling out this themselves. Only a small minority mind. I believe it all stems from the formation of the Phoenix club which some Bury fans still cannot accept those who were involved or supported it. I think the CEO was in the middle of the trouble at SG.RammyClaret61 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 9:52 amSeems like there’s not many brain cells following Bury.
Been to 2 Bury games at Clitheroe and Rammy. Good atmosphere with no hint of trouble.
Going to give Harry my first £9 of season tonight.

He never has any spare change, if he does it goes on the golden goal, not that he would pay me out if I won. Once won £20 on a scratch card, he gave me a fiver, rest in club funds cock.RammyClaret61 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 12:42 pmDon’t give him a tenner! You’ll never see your quid!![]()

Re: Padiham FC Thread
I wonder if they attract "fans" who may be banned from higher levels and so get their kicks at gigg lane and away grounds. They need to ID and ban quite a few it seems.NL Claret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 11:52 amThere seem to factions within factions, there main focus seems to be falling out this themselves. You can only ban fans from your ground. There isn't any banning orders in non league.ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 1:19 pmI wonder if they attract "fans" who may be banned from higher levels and so get their kicks at gigg lane and away grounds. They need to ID and ban quite a few it seems.
The two clubs just haven't merged very well. Infighting between AFC and Bury fans.
Re: Padiham FC Thread
No, these aren’t what you would class as hooligans.ŽižkovClaret wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 1:19 pmI wonder if they attract "fans" who may be banned from higher levels and so get their kicks at gigg lane and away grounds. They need to ID and ban quite a few it seems.
When Bury AFC were set up at Radcliffe a number of fans would have nothing to do with and greatly opposed it. There was a demonstration before a cup match at Radcliffe and a flare was fired into the ground.
I’ve heard of fights between AFC and FC in the town centre.
The first vote for a merger was opposed, probably down to who was involved with running club.
After most games the social media is embarrassing with infighting on Twitter and videos of them trying to fight each other, although the SG game might have been some Blackpool lads as there is history there.
The vast majority go for a good day out however sadly there’s some that have probably had too much Peruvian marching powder and too many Stella. There has been anti social behaviour that led to Gigg Lane been closed, I don’t think the NWCFL likes the club at all and will probably be glad to see the back of them.
It is toxic.
Quite a few have been banned.

If you're a family trying to watch the game, i'm not convinced you'd give a shiny s***e what they are fighting about

Re: Padiham FC Thread
When the club died, the people who set up the phoenix club should have been supported for getting a Bury side up and running. But from what I could see, the Bury trust did just the opposite. Eventually they had to work with them to get football back at Gigg Lane but that was nearly list through the infighting between the two. It took two votes to get them together but looking from the outside it remains a very uneasy relationship.

Re: Padiham FC Thread
The first Bury goal...what a hit by the right back from 25 yards. I thought that might be an early entry for their goal of the season contender until the third goal. Reminded me a little of Gazzas against Scotland. Whether he meant it is debatable but that flick over the defender was outrageous.
Padiham looked a shade of the team I saw last year but perhaps harsh to judge in a game like that. Bury looked very slick for so early in the season and look a lot better than they were and if they keep playing like that they will romp it.

Re: Padiham FC Thread
Easy win for Ramsbottom v Abbey Hey 3-0.
Difficult to say how Ramsbottom will shape up this season as Abbey Hey were poor, if Teague is fit and available he should make Rammy a lot better than last season.

Still winless.

Is it pay on the gate for Padiham home games? I live pretty local and wouldn’t mind getting on to a game or two this season.
I’ve noticed a lot of the time they clash with Burnley’s home games, I’ve often wondered if they’ve ever toyed with the idea of kicking off earlier when Burnley are at home too, they may be able to get a bigger gate on for people wanting to do a double header?
