FAO Admin - changes under the bonnet??
Hi there Admin
Please could you advise if there have been any technical changes to the board?
I used to be able to read the board while at work (a godsend through some of the meetings I have to attend!), but now I get this error when trying to access the board
'This site can't provide a secure connection
www.uptheclarets.com uses an unsupported protocol
ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH
The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite'
Not sure if something has changed with the servers at work, so thought I would check with you first before opening the can of worms with the tech guys at work!
Thanks

If trying a different browser doesn't work, it's likely a website Security Certificate issue.SurreyClaret99 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 9:38 amHi there Admin

Thanks claretskeith - I've just tried Edge and it doesn't work, so the security certificate looks like the issue. Is that an issue at my workplace or an UTC board issue? Assuming if no one else has the error then it's just an issue for meclaretskeith wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 9:49 amIf trying a different browser doesn't work, it's likely a website Security Certificate issue.

What happens if you use your mobile phone instead of your work's PC/Laptop, but connect to the same Internet connection?SurreyClaret99 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2024 10:14 amThanks claretskeith - I've just tried Edge and it doesn't work, so the security certificate looks like the issue. Can you try via a chrome browser incognito window? (If unsure, right click on the chrome icon and select "New incognito window"
It bypasses a limited number of hurdles, but might do enough

If you are reading this at work and seeing the issue, depending on your company's level of IT sophistication, they may have put some kind of proxy/web filtering in the middle which is causing the problem. (Which can be double checked by trying it on a non-work machine.)

Hi
Tried connecting with my mobile on the work network and also the incognito mode, but still no joy!
Guess I will have to use my own device when at work from now on

Thanks for the input all - here's to a good season! UTC!

No Boss, a London based company, which means 04:30 alarms 2 days a week now that I've moved to Norfolk to travel to that there London! Somehow my company don't seem to realise we can work remotely all the time now!!
