Seeing users locations

Why can we suddenly see some users locations, and not others?

Won’t say who or where, but this seems a new thing.

Found out because I have fat fingers when trying to use my phone!

Wouldn’t this shut down the majority of users being or using another name?

It's always been there, you used to be able to add it yourself but there doesn't seem to be a way to change it any more. Evidence of this is mine is incredibly cringey.

I was looking at this recently. Can you only set it when you register?

I remember entering 'Proudsville' as my location when I joined the board, but now I can't find any way of removing/changing it.

I’ve been looking to see if there is a setting I can change to allow profile changes but I’ve not found anything. As things are, only I can make changes.
