24/25 Season Tickets
Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
Arrived home from holiday to find mine had arrived. My two boys’ tickets…..nope! I bet £50 they end up at our old address (not lived there for over 8 years). It’s not stopped the club sending various things there before though (including season tickets)….been on to them via email, on the phone and in person at various points and it was “sorted” every time. I am certain their filing system consists of thousands of crumpled post-it notes piled around the office floor.

Moved house in June and changed my address online with my clarets number account with the club then. Luckily it arrived Friday as I had my post RoyalMail redirected, old address on the envelope
Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
Just received this from the TO in response to my email to them saying that we hadn't received our ST's -
All season cards got posted out last week.
If you have not received your season card, please come into the ticket office and we will be able to reissue a new card for you.

Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
And those of us who live away from Burrnley?
Surely it's easier for the club to get the basics right rather than me having to make a 3 hour round trip.
My address was changed when I moved 7 months ago, still no post here so I can only assume the worst.
Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
I said it last season, but there should be a tracking number provided.

I think you need to ring the club about that rather than ask Leisure who was posting something to help fellow supporters.Barry_Chuckle wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 11:58 amAnd those of us who live away from Burrnley?

The club have made another almighty balls up of this and I am pretty sure I will have to make a one and half hour round trip to pick mine ticket up as just like last season I doubt very much it will come in time or at all.
Unfortunately the club do not give one jot about the impact on any of this on supporters - they already have our money. If they cared they would put the necessary things in place to stop this happening. As somebody posted last week they have your personal data and address information in at least 4 different places. There is no cross reference or deduplication of files or data and no processes in place to update all those files when someone changes their address. And on top of that even if they do change your data they send the third party mailing company out of date files (as admitted to someone on this board by the ticket office last week).
It’s a shambles

Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
The first hurdle is getting the ticket, the second is when you get to the turnstile at 2:30 and it doesn't work, so you then join the back of the queue of 50+ people with the same issue, you'll be lucky to get in the ground for 3:20.
Ive a few seasons of experience with this, happened 4x in one season once, they even double sold my seats for the last game of the championship winning season.
My boss would sack our IT if they made 1% of the mistakes that ticketing system makes, the problem is, when you just get used to issues it becomes second nature and everyone just puts up with it.
You'll be pleased to know, they never have issue taking payment, that side seems to work very well.

Does anyone know if there is any way to check if our cards are 'live' before we set off to the match?
Probably a daft question but hey-ho.

Why can't we have the option of collecting it in person, like we used to have a few years ago?
Also, provide a tracking number when it is sent out, so you can track it online.

Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
Less than a week to go before KO on Saturday and my ST hasn't arrived yet.
I note that on line the new Ticket web site offers you three options on your game ticket, so Vs Cardiff I can forward to a friend, use the ticket exchange or download it. The download option offers to send it to me via e-mail. However if I do that it says I can no longer perform further actions, so what does that mean?
Has anyone successfully used this download facility yet, as, if you have a season card, what is its purpose?
I guess it may be useful if I forget to bring my season ticket?

Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
Obviously this is shambolic, and even more so if the club won’t post out to your actual address. But I don’t think people need to make a purpose trip. Why not just collect the ticket before the Cardiff game?
Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
Because they don't know how many are in the same position and what time they need to join the queue?
Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
I appreciate some people live away so have to go on match day, but otherwise I would do anything to avoid that queue before a game.

Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
Are you able to guarantee that arriving at the ground at 2 pm to collect a season ticket will guarantee admission before 3 pm? I'd have thought it, in view of the obviously massive errors, to be highly unlikely.
Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
Incidentally, I remember in 1987 (I'm fairly sure that was the year, it was the first match after the Orient game) a load of people had season ticket books with ticket number 1 left out. The queue to get replacement tickets was not quick. That was a day with a gate of 5,500 or so, and there was a higher proportion of cash admission in those days too.
I have no confidence that systems have improved since then.

I have received 2 of 3 registered at my address.
Just rung the ticket office and they said if not here by Wednesday.
Contact them and they will reprint it in time for Saturday.
If you are local you can nip down and get it reprinted

Still nothing received here. A 340 mile round trip to the office is not feasible for me - might have to leave ridiculously early on Saturday instead.

In the corporate world these data breaches would incur heavy fines and shareholders would question the corporate governance of the board.
We aren’t going to report them of course - we just have to give them our money and put up with the frustration their incompetence causes.
Good job we’re such a nice, patient and tolerant group of fans!

Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
I thought the idea a few seasons back that you got your previous season ticket card updated and there'd be no need to keep sending out new ones each season.
Does the same happen at other clubs - are season cards sent out anew each season across all the clubs using this technology?
I'm just interested to see how other clubs cope with this annual headache.

Not had mine but another family member has but this is linked to mine. Doesn’t seem much structure in how they’ve been sent out. Good job we are not kicking off at home.
Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
Agreed, surely the card reader in the turnstile reads the barcode not thecactual card ... as thats the bit you put on the reader.mikeS wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 4:48 pmI thought the idea a few seasons back that you got your previous season ticket card updated and there'd be no need to keep sending out new ones each season.

Any stuff "added" to the card such as home cup games etc is on the database not the actual card, as you do not physically hand the card in to have things electronically added (well not in my experience anyway)

Somebody on the FAB said the reason for the new cards this year is that the provider of last season ticket cards went bust so there was no choice in replacing them which is fair enough, but doesn’t explain why it looks like we’ll go through the same again next season as these have “Season2024/2025 printed on them
Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
If thats the case wilks, I hope they learn to update the system properly after this debacle. But the only change I see is the design on the card ... looks identical in barcode (well a different barcode but you know what I mean) and information on the reversewilks_bfc wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 4:56 pmSomething I’ve asked many times over the years.

Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
I went to the ticket office this morning to get a reprint of mine, as it hasn't arrived.
There were several other people I there at the time with the same situation as me.
I asked why the club doesn't offer the option of collecting season tickets in person any more, like they used to. 'I don't know' was the response, with no offer to pass on my comment to anyone for consideration.

The club has a data protection officer - get his or her email and send in a complaint about potential data breaches.
They have a legal obligation to investigate and respond,
The more fans who raise this the more chance there is that they might one day treat it seriously. They might not want to listen to fans but they might listen to the regulator

Grrr, thought when we changed to the integrated login that everything updated !
I'm not on speaking terms with the owner of my old house. Gonna have to phone and cross fingers.

Re: 24/25 Season Tickets
Mine have also been sent to an old address - spoke to the TO - no apologies or concern - just a "yeah that seems to have happened to a lot of people" and a suggestion that we come to the ticket office on Saturday to have them reprinted. What a mess - and even more of a mess that there seems to have been no proactive communication about it.
Seems we can download the tickets onto our phones in the app - any believe that it will work?
