Of them I’d like to keep AAD for sure.
Can’t see Tresor being sold after illness/injury. Or loaned really.
I reckon we might keep hold of CJER given he’s home grown (I think).
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
I hope there’s a plan to bring in a couple more home grown players now.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Also I'd add that depending on the opposition, the number 10 role could be a deeper lying number 8, so in this case, Brownhill or JBG could fill this role, as well as Amdouni

Vigouroux
Churlinov
Bastien
Costello
Have also gone but not sure if the latter was loan or permanent, and did pick up an injury with accy Stanley.
All the wages off the bill also, not sure if I've read somewhere that kompany alone was on £100k, yes ridiculous, but sure I've read it.

You do know the windows still open for incomings too?NewClaret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 3:56 pmNo idea and I think this is the problem; will other players now feel they are owed moves if offers come in?
Hoping we had a strategy around it anyway. Although I loved Odobert and don’t really believe the fee is that great for him when Olise is going for double (I think we’d have got more in a few years, anyway) - I can accept if he’s playing in the 10 we’re stacked there.
Amdouni likely gets the not but neither he or JBG are going to make the run like Odobert did for the Luton goal. I do think selling may end up putting us in a worse financial position if it puts promotion at risk but think we can handle selling Odobert if he’s the main sale.
There’s a couple more bigger names and a few more lesser lights to leave yet.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
What would be the point of keeping Egan-Riley
Home grown or not, he is very unlikely to feature at first team level
Another wage that needs to come off the books

Yes I do but there are also zero links with other players and if we do sign players we are not going to be replacing them with the quality of Berge, O’Shea, Weghorst, for instance.Holtyclaret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 4:10 pmYou do know the windows still open for incomings too?

Really highly rated at City, good loan at Hibernian by all accounts, still very young, can play a few positions.
My final point will be I think we need to have one eye on the scenario of not getting promoted where we will have a lot of outgoings. Good young English prospects might be very welcomed then.

Makes you laugh how kompany royally messed last season up with his awful tactics, the squad of players we had should of comfortably stayed up and the links to clubs show it

There won’t be links as we’ve no one to replace yet surely?
They’ll be incomings to replace bigger names/holes in squad. Nothing to say they won’t be better or equivalent to what leaves and nothing to say we don’t have contingencies lined up to cover potential outgoings.
Grab a cold one and watch things pan out, it’ll be a busy couple of weeks.

Don’t see us sanctioning that unless Parker doesn’t think he’s robust enough to contribute this season and Leeds are offering us silly money.

The only way of selling to Leeds would have to be for silly money, if they are getting best part of 65m for two of their attacking players, they can give us 20m for bensonRow Z wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 5:51 pmBenson linked with Leeds - https://www.footballinsider247.com/leed ... n-orourke/

Also being linked with Jack Clarke from Sunderland which would make more sense if as a replacement for Summerville as he’s a a right footer that plays on the left, as did SummervilleRow Z wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 5:51 pmBenson linked with Leeds - https://www.footballinsider247.com/leed ... n-orourke/

On Amdouni, this post from earlier in the week.agreenwood wrote: ↑Wed Aug 14, 2024 2:01 pmSwiss media outlet Blik reporting that we’re trying to shift out Amdouni.
Little bit speculative, but here you go..
https://www.blick.ch/sport/bei-burnley- ... 35947.html
We might actually be trying to shift him on because he’s made it clear that he doesn’t really want to play in the Championship. At the bottom of the article is an interview with him. When questioned about his future, now that we’ve been relegated, he says, “I’m under contract, so I’ll stay if I have to, but I have my own objectives.” - It sounds as though he wants away, but nobody is coming in for him.

Transfer windows are far more depressing when you are just logging in to see which player(s) has left the building rather than getting news of any prospective incomings.

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Decent day today I think. Couple of players who were always likely to leave for differing reasons moved out for good money.
I'd like us to keep Amdouni and I'm certainly someone who believes that whilst he struggled last season in the Premier League - including with his workrate and movement at times - a year in the Championship could make him, and he could be a huge asset (a little like Rutter at Leeds who is not a wholly dissimilar player). However, there is a bit of a question mark over his commitment (the fact he was left out on fitness grounds last week when Weghorst, whose involvement in the Euros lasted 3 days longer, was involved, was a little odd) and it'll be interesting to see if he's involved tomorrow. If he is, a front line of Foster, Amdouni behind, Koleosho and any of our other wide options is pretty compelling at this level.

Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Was all in French when I played it inc subtitles. All I’d say is that it’s unsurprising he sees himself higher than Championship, he was joint top scorer in the Conference League the season before last, and one of the top scorers in Euros Qualifiers. It didn’t work out in the Prem and I’m not sure he’s got the intensity for it, Bundesliga or somewhere like that could be better. Though i’d add this interview was before meeting back up with the team and Parker so things may have changed. I guess it will be telling if he’s in the squad tomorrow.

Odobert was professional about the situation , signed off in style and can hold his head high on the back of it.
Others should follow suit. I’d go as far as saying Weghorst coming on at Luton shows his professional side also which Parker alluded to.
