Trafford almost certainly off. Zaroury possibly sacrificed for a "home grown" inclusion.

Trafford off apparently Newcastle
Re: No Trafford
Just had a chat with David Eyres, Trafford’s agent, apparently Trafford is ill, he did say this with a large grin on his face though.

Re: No Trafford
£25m+ would be a no-brainer. Despite not having a load to do Hladky looked composed and confident today.

Re: No Trafford
Only on here could we have had people who “ know and speak” with such intimate knowledge of Traff.
His agent
His dad
Another players dad
He’s sick
Toe injury
His transfer fee
His intended club
It’s common knowledge which club he’s likely to be signing for before the window closes . ( my mates bro in law’s boss’s son lives on next street told me ) Though joking aside he wasn’t quite ready for last season and probs needed a loan .

Re: No Trafford
Do we really though?
Hladky as first choice, Green back up, Casper/Waller in reserve

Really don't want to be a part of the general bitchfest surrounding Trafford, and genuinely feel he was a victim of Kompany's ego trip last season...the lad clearly did his best.
But I really cannot see why anyone would see a £30 million keeper here other than reputation from youth football and the Man City label he's carrying.
From what we've seen at Turf Moor, and had he been raised at Gawthorpe we'd be overjoyed to be getting any kind of fee for him.
Emporer's New Clothes syndrome in play here.
IMO.

I think you've nailed it there.
He will be a good keeper in years to come. He tried his best but not an easy place to learn your trade.
I've personally supported him as much as I can but feel that it will be difficult for him to win over a lot of the Burnley fans so a fresh start maybe better for all especially if we can get our money back ( at least).

‘He’ll be a good keeper in years to come’ and ‘he’ll be an England number 1’ the most common phrases used when talking about Trafford. Might come true if you say it enough times I suppose.

I was thinking Ronaldinho with his son joining up.

I sm yet to see any attributes of an international keeper.Steve-Harpers-perm wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 12:16 pm‘He’ll be a good keeper in years to come’ and ‘he’ll be an England number 1’ the most common phrases used when talking about Trafford. Might come true if you say it enough times I suppose.
He is an excellent shot stopper.
Poor on crosses - judgement appalling.
Despite the hype, poor at kicking.
So sloooow.
A decent keeper but doesn't fill me with any confidence.

I agree with most of that except the excellent shot stopper part. He’s a good shot stopper but nothing more.
I would say he’s another Bazunu but I don’t even think he’s close to his level either.
Re: No Trafford
Without a doubt he is on his way. That is great as we will be paid for his alleged 'promise'. Another season would make him an also ran.sykeclaret wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 6:59 pmTrafford going Newcastle, roughly upto 30 million direct from a players dad
Mr Parker made a point of 1. Playing him first match and
2. Stating that he has the jersey.
Easier to sell a first team keeper than a Championship reserve!

Re: No Trafford
He’s the sort of player the big teams can have in reserve/out on loan for a few years. A complete luxury player for a team like us and one that was totally unnecessary when we signed him.
Re: No Trafford
Hasn't it been obvious from the start that Hladky and Green didn't come here to be numbers 2 and 3? With our bloated squad I don't think we need a third senior keeper.
Trafford was a big gamble last season. It didn't work out on lots of levels. If we can get anything better than our money back then we should accept that and move on.

It is going to end up as an excellent financial investment, but didn't work out in the Premier League.

As ridiculous as it sounds, you can see a Berge shaped hole in our team. Even after destroying 2 mediocre teams.
Berge will be needed at Sunderland I think.

Likewise , but if they command a decent price we have to let go , I think these along with Traff fill the so called “ 50m black hole “ in the club finances .burnley007 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 4:40 pmI desperately hope we can keep Berge and O'shea.

Have the fees for Odobert, Kompany, Muric and Twine not already pretty much filled the ‘black hole’?AlargeClaret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 6:14 pmLikewise , but if they command a decent price we have to let go , I think these along with Traff fill the so called “ 50m black hole “ in the club finances .
