Strange half.

Glad we are winning. But we just can’t seem to get foothold in midfield.

Although Jay was great for the goal I think I would sacrifice him to give us some more legs in the middle

xG 0.24, ouch. Cardiff better in every department really other than goals.

I hope this is more a case of Cardiff being one of the contenders this season.

What an awful watch that first half was

Jay looks about 50 year old

Bloody moaning at 2-0 up. Some people need to give their head a wobble. I seriously worry that they have something wrong with them

Scrappy and disjointed 1st half. Not complaining about the scoreline obvs but we need to improve. 1 shot on target tells you everything. Cardiff can consider themselves very unlucky and actually look a decent outfit who have their tactics pretty much spot on.

Fair enough but 2-0 is what counts. It is the second game of the season.

I wouldn’t say awful. We just struggled to get a foothold. But thankfully our quality showed when required.

2-0. Took a while to get going, but looked good towards the end of that half. Keep that up second half and bag another couple!

Not seeing much moaning just observations about what is going on. Cardiff much the better side. Not our best 45 minutes. Just the facts. Very happy with the scoreline obviously.

We’ve not been great granted but it’s still better than most of the games last season the way we played under VK

This is the kind of attritional, Southgate-esque, football I feared under Parker. I hope the Luton game is the template and this is just the off day. Hopefully some words and tweaks at half time get a performance to match this scoreline

Absolutely, and I agree. We play better against teams who don't press as much. Leeds will be a tough game, as they're very good at it. Now if Cardiff do tire in the second half, ironically, we could score a few more. Amazed Cardiff didn't bag 1-2 goals though.

Polar opposite to Luton game. We are winning but need to improve vastly. Only plus is the score

The woman co-commentator is hopeless. I'm assuming this is her 1st football match. She makes Waddle seem knowledgeable!

Leeds were dreadful again today. I don't fear them at all. Sheff Utd are the danger, again.

You can't play well every game. Early season always takes time for a team to really gell. 2 up at HT playing poorly - surely take that.

The better side losing 2-0, but we'll take that! Having said that they haven't had a shot on goal (maybe one?) apart from the offside effort I don't think, so hopefully we'll get better and they'll tire!

People are quick to forget in our ‘amazing’ campaign the last time in the championship we were actually very slow to get going. Far better this year round. Sure some fans expect 46 5-0 wins

Two games, two goals. Captain showing the way.

Should see one or two changes.
