Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Where Vitinho is concerned. Wasn't it a dream of his to play in England and the Premier League? Why would he want to go back to Brazil if he has finally got to England, played in the Premier League and might be back there next season if all goes well.

Weghorst expected to leave this week too. I’m not sure on the third player longside is referring too. I was told Zaroury is staying and quite content under the new regime but that contradicts what others have heard…so let’s wait and see.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Thought of these 2 myself albeit Beyer has been out for a while and not sure we’d make a tidy profit on the alleged 13m we paid. Probably Benson.

I believe he’s still quite badly injured. Can’t envisage teams paying out for him currently.

Sad to lose JBG's footballing ability and experience on the pitch but apparently he was quite negative and a moaner off the pitch so might be a good thing in the long run and help with team spirit and togetherness
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Wasn't a German team interested in Beyer? Although I doubt we would make a tidy profit on him.

Gudmundson to Saudi league
That's come out of the blue.
Said he wanted to help us back to the Premier..
Guess money talks.

Benson I’m guessing.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Benson hasn't played but he has been on the bench. Isn't that classed as featured?
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Benson or Al Dakhil?
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
Benson, I imagine?
LC has already alluded to Benson going.

Despite what has been said on here by some, Zaroury has been ill but was back in training today.colne-claret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2024 10:27 pmWeghorst expected to leave this week too. Fully expected but disappointing to lose Berge, especially if Hannibal is his replacement. Like replacing your Roller with a Civic, very different players but he should be ok for this level. Assuming he’s improved a bit since I last saw him cos he’s been pretty crap every time up to then.

If we get a fee for him after we were gonna lose him for nothing then I guess he inadvertently will be doing!

Re: Gudmundson to Saudi league
He was over the moon to re- sign for us only a few weeks ago but a club hardly anyone has ever heard of has come in with sacks of cash. Sign of the times with footballers who are mercenary. Shame they aren’t more interested in Jay Rod.

Agreed but we’re signing the Chelsea lad.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2024 10:33 pmI really hope Al Dakhil stays. He could have a very bright future.

What I was told on Sunday conflicted a lot with a positive message he posted on his instagram so did feel very strange. But the parts about Berge to Fulham, Wolves interest in O’Shea and Saudi interest - all of which have turned out to be correct. Glad it’s not.

It's his retirement fund. Can't blame anyone for doing that.

Zaroury also posted a ‘Well played, lads’ message on his instagram story after Saturday's game. An unusual move for someone who wants out….ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2024 10:32 pmDespite what has been said on here by some, Zaroury has been ill but was back in training today.

Well, it was good of Odobert and JBG to sign off by scoring a goal before departing for pastures new. As I’ve posted previously just because a player is part of the match day squad doesn’t mean they will be staying beyond the end of the week. 2 more weeks of upheaval and surprises in the pipeline, of that you can be pretty confident.

A tidy profit on Delacroix would be about £3m…. I’d take that!
I forgot just how bad it felt 2 years ago when all the news breaks about your best players being sold. Hoping that tonight’s news is the worst of it and we can bring 2-3 exciting ones in to give everyone a lift.
Does anyone know how close to fitness Redmond is? I reckon he could be key this season once fit.

All this talk about Berge going and people being devastated. He isn’t exactly Martin Dobson or Trevor Stephen is he ? Just a tad better than Comstive and there are plenty more fish in the sea.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
I think Scott Parker said that Redmond and Ramsey are the two long-term absentees. I'm assuming both have done their ACL or similar.Jakubs Tash wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2024 10:41 pm

Egan Riley. Would make a profit on him.

Delcroix provides cover at LB and McNally helps fulfill the quota. I imagine both will go once Humphreys arrives.boatshed bill wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2024 10:38 pmPerhaps any two from Beyer, Ekdal, McNally and Delcroix are going?

There was an article I saw a week or so ago (don't remember where) saying that Rangers were after Hannibal but couldn't afford him, i'm sure the article said United wanted about 5 million for him.
Re: Summer 2024 Transfer Window Discussion - Rumours and Links welcome
They must not rate him if they only want 5m. They usually overprice their players by quite a lot.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2024 10:51 pmThere was an article I saw a week or so ago (don't remember where) saying that Rangers were after Hannibal but couldn't afford him, i'm sure the article said United wanted about 5 million for him.
